Nothing makes my dogs happier than letting them run around the woods.

Thought I'd share some pics:

I bet the "wolf" DNA was really kicking in during the romp in the woods.

The GSD I grew up with and I would go to the woods often, she really enjoyed it.

I've never taken my current GSD to the woods. I need to do that I'm sure he would really have fun.

When mine was still alive, she loved to run through the snow and just flop over and roll in it.

I still miss her.

I would love to have another GS again. We are living on a one acre lot thats fenced but I don't think thats enough room for one. We're planning on building back at the farm someday and I'll have another then. Our dog Sadie died two years ago. This is the longest in my life we have been without a sheperd.

Beautiful looking dogs Sydney7629, they look very happy and well kept.  Curious how old they are?

I've got two myself, brother and sister(same parents) ages 12 and 14. My 14 yr old is getting bad in the hips(right hip is worse than the left) from arthritis these days and is having a harder and harder time getting around. I wish I could turn the clock back ten years for him when he would run through the woods for hours on end doing search and rescue work. Nothing he liked better than having a job and doing it well.

Best dogs I've ever had bar none. Thanks for sharing the pictures of yours.

My pit loved the brush behind the house on Ft Hood, took her a while to get used to romping across creek water but after a while she got to the point where we had to go walk in the brush for at least an hour every day.

Our puppydog loves the great outdoors - a real treat.

Pretty skinny, yes I know.  Our dog has an endocrine disorder (EPI), makes it tough to digest food.  Eats expensive food and enzymes like a horse, but it goes right through her.  It sure does not cut down on her activity level.

I would take pics of her and another GSD who lives down the street, but the two of them together are just too fast.  They love chasing each other through the woods, mock fighting, and taking a frisbee to the mailman/3 year old neighbor kid/passersby.
