I was on my way home from work yesterday, and passed a pickup that stuck out a little bit.  Written in the back window of the cap, in white soap, was "PEAK OIL IS HERE!", along with a website that was a scary cross between enviro-hippie and tinfoil-hat.

I'm not even sure that I want to post the website, for fear of giving these lunatics extra hits and encouraging them.

I guess that having scientists working with the government and huge TV campaigns are one thing, but seeing the message in soap on a pickup really makes me want to stand up and take action!

What action? You REALLY want to take action buy an electric car and some solar panels for the house.

The only action that I'd take would be to mash the gas pedal on my Silverado a little harder, or perhaps buy a Suburban.

This site made peakoil.com look almost normal.  www.postcarbon.org.  Don't hotlink.

postcarbon.org is nothing more than a regurgitation of the hippie commune days.  Relocalization, Community Supported Manufacturing, Community Supported Agriculture, bla, bla, bla.....  All the same socialist, communist, organic, anti-free trade, anti-capitalist, anti-wealth creation bullshit that has never worked and never will.
