I want to see the machine gun ban ruled unconstitutional. I want to see all guns laws repealled as unconstitutional. I want to see the Supreme Court rule that the 2nd amendment is an individual right as it clearly states in the Bill of Rights. I want to see the BATF become the BAT. And finally I want to see the President stand up for these things.

As far as the BATFE I would like to see them disolved period.  Repeal vice taxes on Alcohol and Tobacco(C.C. ruling should go long way towards that) and a re-ruling on Miller (will not happen)should disolve all federal gun controls.

Miller is not going down unless the SCOTUS reivisits it and all gun control. All are a clear infringement on the 2nd. No doubt they don't want to touch it with a 50ft pole.

Actually I am not totally opposed to the income tax but it needs to be totally restructured.

It appears Bush is doing the right things about terrorism and Iraq.
He sucks on everything else. I want a POTUS with the balls to say he is suspending all federal spending except the very essentials. Then I want him to review every single government program and terminate every single one that is not authorized by the Constitution. Then I'll give him a passing grade.

My congressman is in his 2nd term, and like most other junior congressman, just doing what he is told to do if he wants party $$$$$$$$ to get reelected. I really believe like most other freshman congressmen, he had high ideals until he found out he was  just a pawn. TERM LIMITS is the only way these guys will ever have a chance to do what they should do, rather than what they are told to do. Three 2 year terms and you are gone!!!

Kay Bailey Hutchison will run over you to get in front of a camera, and talks tough but she is not a true conservative. John Cornyn is the real deal. His name was bounced around as a candidatae for the Supremes. This man would be a great POTUS. A Dick Cheney kind of guy. He  withdrew his name from the high court nomination. I really think he is a real conservative. Keep an eye on him.

I wrote an e-mail to Cornyn about 2 weeks ago and just recieved a phone call from one of his staffers. I missed the call, but the staffer asked me to call him back because he wants to talk to me. I'll call after the holidays.

Overall, the Constitution is simply the best law restricting government...ever. If only we can get people to protect and defend and obey it into office.

You should be opposed to income tax it is one of our Gov.'s means of invading your privacy, a tax collected and transferred at point of sale negates the need for the IRS.  However I still believe thier should be at least a housing/property exception.  Entitlements are a reality for the forseeable future and expansion of them is a certainty with GWB and followed by McCain or Hitlary makes it even worse.

My state has Tricky Rickie Santorium.  Home schooled his kids in PA but lived in D.C.  Now he is trying to make a deal on refunding the PA school board.  Live in NE Philly and there is Allyson Schwarz who sides with the inner city people and forgets her area in the NE.  Darl'n Arlen can bring on the sweats when he sounds like he is getting too moderate.  Ah Hell,  can't stand the Reps or the Senators from PA.

Well, I have yet to see a viable alternative that is fair IMO. I do not see the "FAIR TAX" as being terribly fair or a positive for the economy. Another debate though.

I want smaller, less intrusive gov't but they have their place and so do taxes.
