Has anybody had a new idea in Hollywood in 30 years.

Great.  Another classic movie for them to fuck up.

It will suck, like most other recent remakes. (Charlie & the Chocolate factory comes to mind....)

Oh, and there is a movie forum

Starring Eddie Murphy as Kelly. Or Will Smith. Or The Rock. or Queen Lateefa. Another failure.

Remake?  It doesn't need a remake, it's perfect as is.

It's already been remade....

They called it THE THREE KINGS.....

No need to do it yet again......Besides, they'd just "F" it up more.....

I'm not entirely sure that Three Kings is considered a remake of KH. The one is as much a polictal commentary/action adventure, the other is as much comedy as anything else. The only similarity is 'war', 'gold', 'enemy'.

It's like saying that any movie involving 'gold' 'bank vaults' and 'car chases' is a remake of The Italian Job.

GREAT now they are gonna fuck up a classic, probably get some bald black dude to play the Sergeant, in the name of PC and all (irregardless of the historical inconsistency)

I see no reason to remake it.  The only thing they should do is maybe find the lost deleted scene footage for a dvd release.

They don't need too.

Dumbasses will still fork over 25+ bucks for two tickets and popcorn. Why should they put effort into making an original screen play.

Kelly's Heroes had an all-White cast

NO WAY could they do that nowadays...

Leonardo DiCaprio and Ben Affleck gotta work, ya know.

I saw about 5 minutes of the remake of "Flight of the Phoenix" and it was awful compared to the original.

Of course Hollywood would never consider that army units were still segregated during WWII.  (Historical accuracy?  What's that?)

Hollywood did a pretty good job on Gods and Generals.  Credit where credit is due and all that.

Aside from that one movie... yeah, you're right.

Always with the negative waves.....

Drinking some wine, eating some cheese...

One of my all time favorite movies... could never be done again... nobody has the guts to do it right.

They're beautiful people!

Why is it all of the best quotes from that movie are from oddball?

I've always gotten a kick outta them playing "I've been working on the railroad" as the shermans are leaving the newly sacked nazi train station.
