I've had four or five sets on different vehicles over the years and had good luck with all.

I'm having a set of tires put on my truck today and it comes down to either

toyo "open country" model for $410 mounted

or

Bridgestone Dueler H/L for $360 mounted

I've had Toyo on my car for a few years now. Got a good deal on them too.

I'm not picky on my tires, but I have used Toyo for 2? years now with no problems.

Yeah, I looked there and didn't find any reviews of toyos.

They seem to think the bridgestones suck on snow too.

Toyo seems to be a good tire. We use them on our company pickups, no tire failures as I can recall.
We get fairly high mileage out of the A/T's, in the 40,000+ range on fullsize P.U.
No exp. with 'Stones..

I'm going with the bridgstones just because they're $50 less and seem to have decent reviews on the various review websites. I can't find much info on the toyos.

That's what's on there now.

They lasted 85,000 miles.

I put a set of Bridgestone Dueler Revos on my Jeep Grand Cherokee a few months ago and really like them.  Tirerack's reviews of them are very good.  I haven't yet used them in ice or snow, but they seem to have pretty good wet traction.

Just put a new set of BF Goodrich Traction T/As on the Jetta.  Very, very nice running tire so far.
