I graduated from the police academy today...
I was never an "always want to be a cop" guy. At 36 years old I decided to leave New York and head south. I was going to transfer with my old job but after 10 years it was real boring. My brother is a K9 officer and told me about the PD and said to give it a try. Well I took the test...quit smoking and started excercising...with the support of my family and the support of the guys in the academy I got my badge pinned on today. Not a major feat but a much needed challenge for me. And don't worry....I love dogs  ...got two myself. |

Congrats, there is no turning back now. You will change in many ways and you will not be the same in the end, but if you keeep your perspective you will be better for it. Just remeber you need to take care of yourself before you help others. 1*. Jeff

people where getting ready for the academy in july which was the soonest anyone of us could have gotten in. as soon as i got the letter i knew it was over. I would apply for LAPD but i figure it would give the same result. |
