This ad for the Osprey was pulled by Boeing/Bell.
I won't run the pic inorder to keep from offending the boards more politically correct types, But the pic is great! Osprey assault |
If somebody is offended by that add, they are RETARDED and need to be hit in the face with a tack hammer.

Actually it looks like something we'll see in Time a few years from now. A V-22 dropping off an assault force on a crappy, terrorist infested street in the middle of some sorry country that hates us. So what if there's a mosque in the background? When are people going to be offended about the fact that these people hate us? Fuck'em.
I do not have the time now, is everyone underwear in a wad over the term "Hell"?
Well said! |
They're fast roping into what is apparently a mosque. |
No, I think it has to do with us landing on a mosque, but why get offended? Muslim terrorists have attacked us, muslim extremists fight our troops daily, and they would fire at us from mosques. Its just reality. Muslims got beef with us, so our boys will leave combat boot tracks all over their homeland. |
A previous ad for Bell's AH-1Z attack helicopter showed the heavily armed aircraft taking off out of a flaming background. The copy read: "We made it beautiful. Because it's the last thing that some people will ever see."
That sounds like a sweet add! |
Nothing offensive to me.
Seems some people go out of their way to be offended. I showed the ad to my arabic professor (an egyptian) I asked him if it was offensive. He said "what? doctors308 what are you talking about? its a picture of a helicopter." CAIR= |
Agreed! |
AAAAAAAHAHHAHAHAAA
So funny. Are they saying it's a mosque simply because of the domed roof? Big freakin' deal! I think it's a pretty sweet ad. Clearly these wankers have never picked up a Proceedings or any other military pub. And God forbid they looked at a Black Hawk!!!!!!™® catalog... |
yeah exactly. the CAIR fags would pee themselves reading Proceedings or Marine Corps Gazette
Maybe they are there to rescue the patrons |

is this it?

Fixed it for ya ;) |
+1, can you possibly have a bigger stationary target? |
You must mean New Orleans? |

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't realize it was on tripod. Here's the site link, I can't get my hosting to work at the moment. kittykountry.tripod.com/kittykountry/id4.html |

can you repost that ad using imageshack or some other image server?
SO are blackhawks, shithooks, little birds, Apaches, Cobras and every other hovering chunk of crap we stick in a battle. |
One of the programs I work on is the V-22, I think the ad is fan-damn-tastic!!!
fixed it for ya. |
The ad is just fine...It's the Osprey that is offensive. Billions spent, dozens of good men killed, about a Decade behind in development. Yep, that is the definition of offensive, IMHO.
whats wrong with THAT AD?
It is precisely the reason we are losing in IRAQ, we are worried about PR, when we should be BOMBING ALL MOSQUES!!!!!! fuk them |
This is just a much bigger one. |
Yeah the artist forgot the 2 dozen RPG's zinging past the rotors! |
Wait a minute... you can't make a fake picture of a V-22 hovering over a mosque, yet in Iraq, we have Suicide bomber kills at least 25 in Mosque blast.
WTF?
+1 |
I'd prefer a few mushroom clouds hovering over Iraq. If the whole place was turned to glass, it would not be so damn dusty.
The size of the ship, the size of the engines, the size of the rotors... How could Hajj miss? |
Ever see a -47 or a -53? |
Shit, if we're lucky....if not, that will be OUR streets... I love the add, I want a full size to frame.... As to CAIR and those offended by the ad...FUCK YOU |
Will the V-22 have door gunners? Or even doors for the gunners?
Or will it be completely defenseless? It looks to me like the humps on the sides would restrict a gunner's view and ability to cover his side anyways. |
I use to have that poster. |
The only problem that I can see with the ad is that there is absolutely no way that the wisp of smoke in the foreground would be able to get anywhere near that vertical when subjected to the hurricane force rotor wash that the V-22 puts out.
Love the ad and really want to see the AH-1 ad. |
How many times have we attacked a mosque and NOT found arms caches or combatants inside? I'm not saying they all do, but in this theoretical scenario in the ad, I'm sure they had good intel. It is a mosque BTW - domed roof, crescent on a spire. How many non-churches do you see with steeples and crosses atop them?
As for the PC whiners, screw 'em - it's a kickass poster. |
