This morning I was sleeping when I heard 2 loud 'whacks' at ~4am.  Sounded like someone hit a fence with a hammer.  Well I get up and look out the window and notice a vehicle across the street and up a ways.  The vehicle is just sitting there and it looked like it was about 2' on the grass with its lights on and not moving.  A guy gets out and walks over to a guy coming out of a house.  It kind of looked like they knew each other.

The guy from the house says, 'you all ok?'  I couldn't hear a response but the guy outside of the vehicle walks back to the house with the guy that got out and the car starts to pull away.  As the car pulls away it sounds like it had a rubbing sidepanel against the tire and the engine was whining real loud when the car was only going maybe 5 mph.  So I watch a bit more.

The car drives up the street about 100 yds and comes to a stop. After about 10 second of not moving I hear a girls voice say, "leave me alone, I just want you to leave me alone."  Ok, that's it.

I call 911 and get the operator and let her know what I have seen and heard.  The woman says she will get someone out.  12 mintues later I see a police car rolling in from one direction and then notice another cruiser pulling up from the opposite driection.  The one cruiser pulls behind the vehicle while the other car angles himself pointing at the vehicle from the front.

Well, I couldn't hear much of anything but when I left at 5:45am, the cars were all still there. I think I saw a guy in the drivers seat of the suspect vehicle but couldn't be sure.

When I came home at 9:00am the suspect car was parked on the side of the road.  No visible damage that I could see driving by.  I am really curious what the heck was going on and want to call the PD to see if I can learn anything.  

Do you think they will let me know any info over the phone?  Do you think I will have to go down and pull a police report?

I wonder what the hell was going on.  

Can you not go ask the guy that lived in the house?  If he was talking to the guy that got out of the car, he would probably know what was going on, right?

That did cross my mind.  I could but the whole thing looked really strange and it was wierd that the guy that came out of the house was fully clothed and smoking a cigarette even before I got to the window.  I don't know the guy and to tell you the truth, I have no desire to let them know I am the one that called.

You don't have to let them know you were the one that called.  Just tell them you were woken up by the flashing lights and wondered what all the fuss was about.  I'm not sure if the police will give you any info if you call.  They might just say 'domestic disturbance' (or whatever), but I don't think they can give you any details.  I could be wrong, but I'm just guessing.

No lights were flashing and the whole thing was really quiet.  Maybe I will think about going over there, I just don't know if I thin that's a good idea.

Maybe i'll just have to pull the report.  If they let me.

You'd have to ask for the Sergeant - dispatch won't tell you squat.

Give them 'the eye', but don't be stroking anything when you do. Then again, go ahead and do that...You can ask the cops what happened when they get there.
