Gotta get me some more ice cream.  Double chocolate.

Can't hear out of my left ear either.  Sucks sucks sucks.

I talked to aska nurse and they said some crap is going around, and to come in if it keeps it up.  Been 3+ days now.  How long before I should go into the doc?  I've usually waited 5 days before considering a doctor visit, but I hate burning up PTO and getting others sick going in when I'm hacking.  I'm the one who always catches it when others come to work sick...

Mee too.  Mild swelling this morning...swelling has slowly been getting bigger all day.  And the swelling is sore.

Cold is better than hot?  I always hear differing opinions on that.  Cold reduces swelling so that would make sence.

It's sounds like the onset of avian flu.

Mine's a little rough today too.

Might have been the nine goals I had to shout for during last night's Red Wings game...    I'll bear those stripes.

LET'S GO *koff koff, rasp* RED WINGS!

I'd stay away from the milk products if your ears are plugged and your throat is sore.  Have a popcicle.

Does your throat feel like you just did a couple shots of 151?

The best sore throat fix I have ever tried is take an 8oz glass and pour about ½-3/4” of apple cider vinegar and the rest water and drink it down as slowly as you can.  The more small swallows the better.

I've been using Halls plus cherry cough drops.  Seem to work ok, but don't last long.

Fever?  3 days is too long for ordinary rhino viral infection in otherwise healthy adults.  Could be strep.  MRSA is nothing to play with.  See a doc IMMEDIATELY if you have a fever.

squeeze a lemon in a mugg with honey and pour boiling water in.  drink it like tea as hot as you can stand it.

least that's what my mom always used to tell me.

If you can see them in the mirror (maybe with a flashlight) and they have white bits of crud (congealed puss called mung) in the folds and crevices they might have turned on you.

On a side note... have you eer coughed up a mung ball and crushed it?

Is that not the most foul odor known to mankind?

I have coughed up some pretty nasty green stuff in my lifetime, but never had the impulse to play with it.

Try not to get too rich of an ice cream because that could do you more harm than good. When I have a sore throat I get a box of vanilla and a box of orange sherbet. I mix the two together in a bowl to get oranges and creem, tastes heavenly.

works great against mouth sores too.

Dude, Zinc and vitamin C - preferrably the losenges, but tabs if you can't find `em. Try to at least get 1000-2000mg of the C.

Cut out the BLATANT carbs as much as you can, and cut out the dairy. IME 1-2 weeks worst case.

I HAVE gargled really really warm salt and echinacea/Goldenseal water when it was REAL bad. Open an Echinacea/Goldenseal (good immune system boosters and good anti-viral/bacterial/fungals) capsule and stir it into the hot/really warm water. But might be "overkill".

Also change out your toothbrush and/or BOIL it to kill any nasties that might "hide out" there and re-infect you once you've beat it.

I seem pretty "immune" to all that anymore. I keep EXPECTING to GET sick now that the MS is "under control"... but so far - nada.
