You need to get them cleaned off as soon as possible.  I worked down there the first 2 weeks after the hurricane, and the locals told me that they had some kind of acid in them that would take the paint off.

I sure hate those things!!

Rental. I give a crap less.  Just......Wild.  I had no idea there were this many bugs.

took a trip there several years ago with a brand new truck....2 days old
when i got back to dallas i had luvbugs covering my windshield so bad they had to be taken off with a metal spatula..
after many attempts to clean it, i realized they were imbedded in the glass, never came out. replaced the glass finally about 3 months later
and yes they will eat the paint off if left on.

It's a rental.

I give two craps less........Though, I don't understand why anyone would have anew car here.
