Genocide in Sudan seems to be the feel-good topic of the week here at school. A group of students even went as far as planting 40,000 popsicle sticks in the lawn of the main drive to represent the "400,000 killed in sudan..."

I felt sorry for the maintenace guy that spent all day trying to rake that shit up after they were done.

Well, today I was bombarded with requests to sign a petition that requests our .gov take action to stop this senseless violence.

I politely declined...then thought better of it and asked if they were willing to be the ones to pick up a rifle and go over there and stop it.

<college hippy> "well...umm...i dont think i would be the best one to do that..."

Well....then I dont think I can sign your petition....

<another hippy> "well, you can at least contact your representitive"

no thanks......

See, hippies think it's ok to go to war for purely humanitarian purposes in a nation that has no tactical or strategic importance to us whatsoever.

Tha analogy I'll make is this: They don't like the siding on the house, so they tear it off.
They don't know how to replace it, or even what to replace it with, so they declare victory and leave it the way it is.

After a couple rainstorms, the sheetrock gets wet, so ther tear it out. Again, they don't know how to or what to replace it with, so they declare victory and walk off.

The flooring goes, same deal.

Eventually, the house falls in and everyone is standing there with a big WTF look on their faces.

I'm all for intervening there to kill off the Arabic Moslems that are slaughtering/enslaving the African Christian Dars. George W ought to make it a new crusade. Announce that he is going to follow the great Republican tradition of Abraham Lincoln and is going to free the slaves. The Arabs would be in for a great surprise when they start having Cobra gunships chasing their camel riding asses around.

Ok smart guy. Before you open your pie hole, it may be a good idea to ask a few questions first. I am a veteran (USN 97-03). I have been sent to the middle east ..TWICE. So...before you start yapping about your ROTC bullshit, it may be a good idea to get your facts straight. IF I was still in the service, AND uncle sam wanted me to pick up a rifle and head over there....GUESS WHAT? I would be the first MF'er in line.
