I say, no.
I say yes, why make loosing everything worse by loosing a beloved pet that was a member of the family?
+1 gazillion |
Dogs under 25 pounds ok if they do not have fleas or ticks...
Cats as long as they are declawed and muzzled or in a box.. No rodents or no-shoulders, period. LB |
As a pet owner YES,
As a refugee (Sorry Rev. Jackson says this term is Racial) NO |
I have cases of 9-Lives next to my MREs. Neither me or Mr. Frisky are going to a shelter.
I would not go to a shelter if they were not let in ( I would not be in a damn shelter anyway )
However i think it would cause problems with sanitation fighting etc so i would say no |
Nothing like adding smelly, crapping animals to this deal.
First order is people. Animals come no where close. |
No because some fooking moron would bring a flee bag in , or some crazy person with a cat.
Well I wouldn't be allowed in anyways due to the fact you can not be armed while there. So F*ck them and the Political Horse they rode in on.
Exactly! I'd rather go at it on my own with my dogs if i can't take them with me in a shelter.... |
The Super dome was filled with crapping animals but of the 2 legged kind |
Kind of my point. Adding the four legged variety is not what needs to be happening. |
Dogs shitting all over the place, potential for bites and fights with other dogs. Many people are alergic to pets, confining all those people and animals for a long period of time would make the Superdorm look like a vacation. |
Wouldnt that rule out alot of the so called people there? My dogs go where I go, if there not welcome niether am I. My dogs are better behaved, more sanitary, and need less to survive then most of the so called refuges. |
Agree 110%-my dogs are better mannred and behaved than the majority of children. You wouldn't find me in a shelter anyhow. They should of secured the dome and dropped some "pet" lions in |
I have a dog and a cat who are part of my family, truly. I would NEVER leave them behind, nor would I expect to be able to take them to such a facility just like I wouldn't try to take them to a local restaurant. However, I would never be left in that predicament in the first place, nor would I ever go to a gov't "camp". Nothing but sheeple are stuck with that option and they deserve what they get. |
Im sure that people would be doing just as much shitting as the dogs. Maybe im wrong, but dog crap seems much less rancid than human crap.... and it tastes better too! But serriously when it comes to bites and fights....Most dogs wont just bite you unless they feel threatened. And a dog attack here and there might not be such a bad thing in some cases.
Id stick it out on my own with the dog |
Sadly I agree. That said, I would have to be on death's door to abandon my pooch. |
I donated $100.00 to Petfinder's Hurricane relief fund for the dogs and cats displaced by Katrina.
Here IMO, I say yes, but practically I can understand why they wouldn't. Which is just one (of many) reason I wouldn't go to a shelter in that sutuation. NEVER leave your buddies behind! |
These shelters are not meant for a long period of time. People should not have to stay in a shelter for more than a week. People should be made to pick up after their pets when away from their home also. but some people don't care what their pets do. They usually act like their owners. |
Do you really think those people are going to be in shelters for only a week? |
I wouldn't go because they don't allow weapons. Never know when you'll have to shoot a mangy mutt. Besides, who wants to go to a shelter? They give you army food and it's not even hot. Seriously, I say no. Some folks are allergic to animals. I won't even get started on fleas, tics, "unfriendly" dogs.... If the lady on Fox doesn't want to abandon here dogs, she shouldn't have to. She has every right to stay were she is. Eddie |
Just wanted to add I wouldn't be going to a selter anyway because they won't let me bring in my guns. Pays to have family else where.
Good idea to bring the pets.
If I got hungry enough someone's Fido would be a more morally agreeable meal than eating another human. Sheesh. Who is going to feed these animals? Are they supposed to waste time and resources transferring emergency rations of kibbles 'n bits to the shelters? |
On MSNBC I saw a dog owner leave 3 dogs locked inside of his house when he was "rescued".
They forced him to leave his dogs behind. His rescuers were in a boat, his house was flooded up to the first floor. |
He should have put them down. No reason to starve them to death. Eddie |
Yep. Bang, bang and bang. |
If the dogs had water, they would be good to go for several weeks, at least. Tear the end of a 50 lb sacjk of food, and they will be fine longer than that. |

+ 1 billion, this is a shelter for humans. Bama, fuck'm if they dont get it. It's enough I have to support the people that dont seek high ground...fuck thier yorkies and pitts... damn idiots.... -HS |
I bet my dog is cleaner and behaves better than quite a few of those people.
Taking care of my pet isn't the government's responsibility either.
I love my dogs but I HAVE to say no, it would add immensely to the problems already at them. Thats why I would not go. Not leaving the pooches and not putting others at risk.
