Him: "... yada, yada, yada Marine yada yada ..."

Me: "Really? I was a Marine, too".

BZZZZT

Him: "Is that too short? You said you were a Marine."

I look like I've been prepped for brain surgery.

No, I will not post a pic for at least a week.

I'm glad my job requires a hat.

There's nothing wrong with a high and tight cut.

Just think of the money you'll save not needing another haircut for weeks.

I was raised by an Old School Army and Marine and had to wear a crew cut when I was younger then when I went into the Marines I never wanted long hair.

After I retired I still wear a Marine hair cut, it grows back from what I hear.

Yeah, it grows back for some people.  And it seems to keep disappearing for the rest of us.

I hear you and know what you are talking about.

At least its still warm outside.

I keep my hair cut short, maybe not a high and tight, but short enough so it doesn't require a lot and doesn't get in the way.

I go to a Black barber, he cuts a better fade than anyone else I've found so far.

I have been going bald for the past several years, and every time I went to the barber on base, he would laugh at me.

Now I just cut my own hair all the way to the scalp every sunday evening.  Saves a bunch of money, especially since us Marines are expected to have weekly hair cuts.

I get mine buzzed down to a zero.
When I walk out, I am pretty much skin....I let it get about 3/4 of an inch and go back.
Winds up being about every 3-4 weeks.

I cant stand hair longer than an inch...just unneccesary in my opinion.
Nothing to deal with if it aint there

I can still remember my father's (Ret. CSM) instructions to the base barber: "Give him a good medium".

This ensured I would be near to cue ball status.

Amen brother!

When I went in that was the late 1970's and so many wanted to grow it out to the max and anything close to my ears sent me packing to the B.S. and it was either a High and tight or a Horse shoe.

Short hair ? BAH! you guys never heard of that obscure tribe called the Spartans? Their hair was so long they used to "psych out" their opponents before a battle by climbing a hill a combing it. Oh yeah and they also used to bring teen boys on the campaign so they could diddle them after a long HARD battle . So lets wrap it up, Long hippie hair and they liked sleeping boys, and yet they could still kick your ass! Molon labe................honey!

You don't need photos. Just picture a doorknob or a Q-ball.

I barely have enough to comb after a "medium". I'ld hate to see what a "short" was from these guys.

My son got a good high and tight from them  when he was home on leave.

It takes about 2 weeks before I really need to comb it.  I have several co-workers that go for the full shaves so mine is relatively long.  Still off the ears though.
