I have never had a worst experience with any company in my life.  The service was horrible.  They charged my credit cards numerous time for same truck.   No time for details now but will explain later.  Just needed to vent. a little.

Budgte tried to contract with our company to maintain ther local fleet.  We could pay them to go elsewhere and be money ahead.

I completely understand. My last experience with Budget was a nightmare (blown motor).

Next time, rent a Penske. I've rented 4 - count 'em - 4 Penske trucks in the last year. Two of them went from California to Ohio. Their trucks and service are outstanding.

The car carriers have a tendancy to blow tires. I've blown two, one on each cross country trip. To their credit, they had somebody out to fix it within an hour each time.

You'll find more good Penske stories than bad ones.

+1 for Penske, LA-California to BFE-Kansas, across the desert, towing a car trailer.  I actually enjoyed it, a lot!
