USAF survival school. 6.5 days I believe. Yeah we all stunk. The best part was we didnt really smell each other or ourselves. Apparently everyone else we came in contact with did smell us.

7 days after Hurricaine Fran. We were out of power for a week, and we had well water so no water to waste on bathing.

Longest has probably been 5 days while backpacking. That was 4 days too long when you're spending nights with two other guys in a tent.

Probably close to a week once or twice in college. I HATED community showers. My personal hygene went way down during that time. I'd set my alarm for 4AM just so I could take a shower when almost no one else was up and about. But I could only stand to do that so often.

Just change your underwear twice a day, and you're good to go.

4 days on a off roading trip did not want to waste drinking water
did have baby wipes that helped some

Two weeks. Once during an ARTEP in Korea and once at NTC. It was way worse in Korea (rainy season) lightwieght BDUs literally rotting off of you. At Ft Erwin it was so dry you never really got sweaty, I did throw away the boots after that though.

One full 12 days cycle, and 9 days of a second cycle in the Z (Korea).

Including 2 patrols and rice paddies with lots of smell bad stuff.

Whore's baths were all we could take.

Feet, a$$, and pits - ripe? No, rotten.

I was on an aircraft carrier during VN. We went on water hours after about 2 days at sea, there were no showers for the enlisted men. We were at sea for 45-60 days at a time so the longest without a shower was maybe 55 days. You could take a spit bath, a little water in a sink and a wash cloth.

That was pretty miserable, tropical heat and humidity. As I remember one time as I was getting out of the shower and started drying off and I could not catch up with the sweat that was pouring off me. I finally just stopped drying and went and got dressed.

We all had heat rash so bad we were just raw.

10 day CAX at 29 Palms. I could take my camo blouse off and it would stand upright in the corder from all the sweat-salt encrusting it.

12 day MCRES at Camp Blanding FLA. humidity, thundershowers, diesel fule splashed on me on day 4. F'n miserable.

I had to wash my hair 3 times in a row to get clean after that.

42 days during Desert Storm.... ( and there was no damn stream or river to swim in )

We only had one set of desert cammies.

Water was for consumption, cooking, washing hands, brushing teeth shaving.

We f__king stank! I mean grungy, ball-fog reeking, stank ! My father had the
good mind to have my mother ship me underwwear in every package.

I just changed underwear every few days.

We had one guy kinda crack-up after he shit his last pair of skivvies when trying to fart. All he
could do is funny laughing-grunt.

Finally one day they marched us across the desert where they had built some temp.
showers using the NBC trucks ( water tanks, pressure pumps and water heaters )

We undressed on one side of the tent with a bar of soap in our hands and were given 5 minutes to shower.

GO !

We flew into the tent where the water was sprayig everywhere. Someone had the great idea of
putting down wooden palates for a "floor". Everyone was twisting ankles and falling all over one another.

Me being 5'7" I was getting pelted with flying elbows so I shoved my way to the wall of the tent to a space off the palates and was able to get cleaned up and rinsed before they cut the water off.

Almost everyone else had to go commando or put on their nasty skivvies. I slipped on a new set of skivves ( thanks Mom ) and we all put on our nasty desert cammies and marched several miles back to our lines. Once we got back we felt just as nasty as we had when we left to get showers...

I went on a 7 day hiking trip up in the mountains and on the second day it started to rain day and night and didn't stop. On the last day it was still raining

I thought maybe Noah had built another ark

My hands and feet long like prunes

Anyway I didn't wash for those 6 days... does that count?

Did you go this summer? I did. Our FTX got stretched out by a day for Branch Orientation to 11. Not that an extra day made a difference...we were so fucking nasty from being wet all the time and then cooking inside the rain gear that we couldn't have smelled worse. One bad part was your sweat and urine reeking of MREs.
What regiment were you?
Man do i ever feel sorry for whoever got issued my goretex bivy bag cover after me. I'm not sure CIF could have washed the funk out of that.

38 days on my sub once

our sub had 2 stills to generate all our water. The small still could only handle necessity water like cooking, drinking,and makeup water for the reactor The large still gave us our bathing water and clothes washing water.

The large stilll broke 5 days into our cruise and we did not have the means to repair it.

When we pulled back into port and they cracked the hatches, the people working on the tender were throwing up from the smell :)

My GF made me ride home in the truck bed and hosed me down with the garden hose before she would let me in the house.

For sheer funk? Jungle School in Ft Sherman. After two weeks I showered for over an hour using that Army issue powdered cleanser (Comet). I had skin sores wherever gear would rub when I walked. My uniform was white from the salt and the stitching in my boots had rotted.

I've been without a shower longer on other missions, but nothing compared to that.

Jeez, I don't remember. Couple of months, I guess, in Desert Shield/Storm.

It's not so much living in a ditch for a few months that gets old, it's not having any toilet paper for a few months. That "napkin" that comes in an MRE just don't cut it. No clean clothes... Every few days I would take off my boots and walk around in the sand to clean off some of the funk between my toes.
You just get used to it after a while, no big deal.

I remember I had a "Ground beef with spiced sauce", if anyone remembers those. I stuck it in my shorts to try to at least get it up to body temp (Yes, it gets cold in the desert) Well, the seal broke so I had spiced sauce in my britches for weeks!

I do remember what I thought was the worst part was after we did get a makeshift shower and some clean issue wool socks, I itched for like two days.
