I've been making Bass/Harp black and tans lately. Been kinda partial to the Sierra Nevada Pale ale also.
What do you like? |
Beamish Stout, Arrogant Bastard Ale, and Red Horse, in no particular order.

Do you drink it cold? |

Hard to beat. A German beer perfected by a TEXAN. |
McKewen's
Bud Select Shiner Bock Bass Ale Sam Adams Not really a beer snob....just like the taste of those above. HH ETA: There's a whole bunch of micro-breweries that make some damn good beer, and I love a bunch of them, too....just can't name 'em all. |
Great Lakes Brewing Company's Edmund Fitzgerald Porter.
Best damn beer I have ever had...and probably ever will. It's Beer-Fu is so strong that it would kick the shit out of any other beer that dares challenge it. |
Yuengling is indeed, a good beer. Love their porter. I also love teh Guinness and Blue Moon. Newcastle is also a favorite of mine.
Hooray BEER!! REDSTRIPE

Big Rock Traditional
Unibrue Trois Pistoles Negra Modelo Or preferably anything I brew myself. |
Chimay Red (trappist ale)
Pilsner Urquell Warsteiner Four Peaks Brewing Company Hop Knot Arrogant Bastard Double Bastard Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout Guinness (to cook with--I would never drink it) Hair of the Dog Brewing Co's Fred. Alaskan Amber Betty Belligerent Brown (my own recipe) Bitter Bastard (same--for when I want more hops than a Double Bastard) Redneck Homebrew Co's Koelschy (my own recipe) Budmilloors to rinse my fermentors GT Beer Geek |
Unfortunately I'm trying to be a good "South Beach" boy (read no-beer).
But my favorite: local brew - Red Hook ESB (or) Dead Guy Ale import - Heineken (or) Negro Modelo |
I like all kinds of beer...Guinness, Beamish, Murphy's.
Actually, I like any non mass produced beer, although I'm not fond of overyly hoppy stuff, and I've run into a couple of those lately...Rogue American Amber, for one. If you really like hops, get some of that stuff. Red Tail Ale is something I've been drinking lately...it's $12 a 12 pack, so it won't run me into the poor house. And of course there's Newcastle Brown Ale...I love that stuff. |
This is hard... so many good ones! But Lately:
Guinness Anchor Steam Samuel Smith Pale Ale Duvel Thomas Hardy Ale Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout Skull Splitter |
There are only 2 kinds of beer that I drink. Free beer and did I say free beer?
Mose Drool
Big Butt Warsteiner St. Pauli Girl/Becks Permier Light(new) |
Preach it! |
Thats one old picture. |

Say it with me. Guiness is the Try a Sam Smith's Tadcaster. Or for that matter, find a brew pub and try their fresh stout. WIthout that idiotic wiget. Served in a real glass. Made by people who genuinely love beer. Not somebody selling a name. Trust me, you'll thank me later. |

chimay..belgin beer please try this,it is outstanding, not for belt feeding single or dbl. taps only |
I go both extremes. For good stuff I like Black & Tans made with Guiness and Bass. For swill, a 40 of Olde English 800 or Steel Reserve will do the trick.
Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout
Arrogant Bastard Newcastle Still exploring, not much is offered in the area. |
I don't like the really cheap beer nor do I really need an exotic or fancy beer. My personal favorite is Icehouse. But I always found most ice brewed beers acceptable.
beamish is the shit....and all great lakes brewery stuff is good....and when all else fails, busch light
Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale
Youngs Double Chocolet Stout Black and Tan Guinness [of course] If I want to get drunk: Arrogant Bastard Ale |

I've found this out quickly as well. I still have 5-6 Guiness' in the fridge from four months ago as a testament to this fact. |
If you are going to drink Guiness make sure at least it's the can version, not the bottle. |
HOME Brew.
It's actually quite a big deal around here. We have clubs with meets and all. We grow our own grains and hopps to boot. Nothing like making 10 gallons at a time. |
We just recieved this stuff called "Dales" in a can in Atlanta. It's some of the best beer from a can just like the label says. Those allergic to hops need not apply!
