I can see a case for under-the-bottom if you have a pet that likes to unroll the TP. Otherwise, over the top is the only way to do it.

The wife and I have fussed about this a few times. I ALWAYS say over the top is right. It just feels right! Glad to see I'm not the only one with this hangup!

OTT. if you have printed TP, it hangs over the top so you can see the print, not against the wall where you can't see it and can't reach it.

Over the top, but my wife always installs it the other way just to aggravate me. Thus I put the toilet seat up and vaseline the toilet rim ever night before I go to bed.

I just sit the new roll on top of the tank and some woman puts it on the the roller. I thought all guys did it that way.

from the bottom and here's why.... you want to hide the end to prevent the women from rolling off 22 feet for their makeup. Unless of course, you believe it is macho to buy 10x the amount of toliet paper needed.
