I bring home over six times my wifes take home pay but still she always complains when I bring home a new gun.  She has her guns and her CCW but she thinks I spend too much of our money on my hobby.

So here is what I do now.

I work anywhere from one to four Saturdays/month at my friends gunshop for $80/day in store credit.

My paycheck is direct deposited into our checking account.  That is more than enough to pay our bills right now.  Our Credit Card debt is almost nothing and our savings account is getting steadily bigger.

Now, she cashes her ($400 to $450) check every two weeks and brings it home for petty cash.  Every month I sneak anywhere from $50 to $100 out of our petty cash into my cash stash in the gun safe.   There are two reasons for this cash stash in my safe.  First it is rainy day money and second, it's my fun (fun=guns, gun stuff, hookers, blow.  I'm kidding mostly I just get hookers and blow) money.  I never let the stash get below $1000.

So when I've stashed away enough money and I get the itch I'll buy a firearm or firearm related item and sneak it into the safe.  Not a word to the wife.  Then later when or if she notices it I'll just say something like, "Oh honey you remember when I brought this home, must have been a year ago."

This doesn't work well with the hookers because the safe is rather cramped and uncomfortable and when I let them out they seem to get rather upset, loud an roudy.  The blow just seems to disappear.

You do not appear to have a very healthy relationship with your wife.  You might want to check into that.

My wife gets mad when UPS delivers long skinny boxes or big heavy boxes.

Seperate savings account.

Make small unusual $ withdrawal amounts from your regular account and deposit into new account
Example:  Monday withdraw $54.28   Wed. withdraw $21.99  Frid.  withdraw $78.43

Heck, you could even write yourself checks to deposit in your new account.

I did this to pay for my girlfriend's engagement ring and she was none the wiser (shared banking account) and that was approx. $5,000 over the course of a year

EPOCH

My wife has determined I'm easier to live with if she doesn't bother me about them.

It's just a, "I thought you already had one of those."

just get your FFL.  sell at gunshows and to friends,  word of mouth sales, online.  your inventory will increase very fast and you'll make money.  (not really make money because it will all go to guns you never really plan on selling.)  paper worth will be noticeable though.

Um no, I don't steal anything from anyone.

I pay all of our bills including her car payment, insurance, our rent, utilities, food.

The only reason she even has a job is because she would be bored to death sitting around at home.

I've financed three cars for her in the last 5 years.  Two weeks ago she had a flat tire.  A flat tire.  I replaced all four tires on her car an put a real spare in the trunk of her 2003 Saturn instead of the cheesy donut.

Oh heavens to betsy.

Luckily my wife has been educated on how quick guns appreciate so she sees it as an investment. She has even talked me into buying a few. Of course that only works if I ever sell them....

It could be worse. You could just be single and too poor to afford any.

Define steal?

My wife wants for nothing.  She does complain about my hobby and say silly things like, "Don't you have enough guns?"

Then maybe you should clarify this statement, because it sounds like you are taking the money from her cashed paycheck without her knowing. Where I come from, that is stealing.

And every two weeks my $2500 check get direct deposited in to our bank account.  Tell me what would be the difference if I manually deposited my check and kept $50 or $100 dollars per pay period?
