Roundup.  Expensive shit but it works visibly in one day when diluted 8 oz to the gallon.  Spray on all the leaves.  Dead brush.

Anything strong enough to kill off brush  , quickly or not, is nothing I want persisting around where I live . Why can't you brushhog the area?

Round Up is not a persistant herbicide

roundup takes too long and the weeds can still seed.  I've had dandy results with Crossbow.  Cenex carries it.  Blackberries, horsetail, nettles, alder, anything broadleaf.  It spares the grass and clover.  Good luck. ms

Ground Clear (full strength Round Up mind you)
Also made by Ortho.  This stuff works so don't spill anywhere you don't want to

Roundup works well as a contact killer
but it does nothing prevent new germination .
For that you need a soil sterilizer like triox
or one of the  2,4-D based herbicides .

Regardless of which you use , they are all best
applied on a dry sunny day above 60°

I cant burn right now I need ot kill out a bunch of poison ivy so my tree cutitng crew can come back and take out 4 more trees and start grinding stumps.

I am not worried about long term, once the trees and stumps are out, I can mow to control weeds until I can get some grass seed in there.

and you really dont want to burn poison ivy, you can inhale the fumes from it  and run the risk of getting it in your lungs.

Roundup fills that niche quite nicely.  Mix it strong.  6 oz. to a gallon of water.

+1, you'll see results in less than 24 hours!  Make sure to mix it w/ crop oil.

If you are looking for something that is residual, go w/ SPIKE, or anything designed to spray fence rows.

Compared to 2,4-D or sodium chlorate, it is expensive.  But if you are just taking care of poison ivy, it is fine.

That shits worse than fireants. Southern mil bases been fighting it a long time. They lose over 10ac. per year to it. They are running out of training areas. Shit even rips off tracs on Armor.
Another illegal immigrant like fireants, killer bees, and asian imports, mehicans, etc.

I picked up some Roundup concentrate, the lable said it was garenteed to show results in 24 hours and after 30 minutes of application, it will not wash off in a rain.

So I mixed it upa little stronger than the lael said to and we shall see waht happens.
