They already put out a nice modular carbine that uses 10/22 magazines, as well as AR-15 trigger lockwork.  (Read:  Easy to add match triggers, etc).

A little pricey, but still cool to see some new INNOVATION in the EBR market with the demise of the AWB.

That said, does anyone know who ows the patents to these pre-AWB gems?

Grendel: 22 Mag Pistol (hi cap, they were just getting the bugs worked out when the AWB hit).

Calico:  Hi (very hi) cap .22 and .99 carbines with that helical magazine thing.

Grendel is out of business....George Kellgren, who owned that company, started Kel-Tec.

Calico, last I heard, moved to Nevada, here's the last contact info I could find on them. I had heard that they were planning to start production again after the AWB expired but do not know if they have done so.
