Not how much did you use to bench press? Back in the day we could all bench 800lbs. If you went to the gym today, how many plates could you stack on? Right now I can rep 205lbs. around 4 times. Not bad for a 145lbs guy. (yea, I might be skinny, but I'm also short)

Before I had my carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand, I could benchpress 315.  In the four months since, I have only been able to work back up to 275.

My max in college while playing football was 285.

Haven't worked out in a gym in years and I still put up 240 every time I try (once or twice a year). Working construction helps.

I was benching 275 before I got too busy with work to workout. Now, probably 225 for sets of 10.

Right now I can push up 185 3x3 sets. The new schedule I'm working on doesn't have me maxing out. Two years ago I was maxing 215 about 4 times. I just started lifting again about a month ago after a year or so hiatus.

My arms were sore as hell.

Just got back into it after a shoulder injury.
Doing sets with 210lbs 4 x 10.

Bench pressing means jack squat. Americans are far to concerned with bench pressing.

Take a cue from the Ruskies (some pretty strong dudes) Powercling.

The powercling power clean is the true measure of strength.

I don't.

I do, however, tow pallets of shit around a warehouse most of the day.

I usually do not go above 225, ever.  When I'm buff, I can get in 5 or 6 reps, however, last year I did 8 at one point.  Right now, I struggle for 1 or 2.  I'm 5'4". 185 lbs, stocky build, 18% fat.  When I'm buff, I'm usually 165 lbs, 10-12% fat.  BTW, I'm 34.

Maxed at 215 senior in high school weighing 165. Stopped working out once I got into college but tried about a month ago for the hell of it but could only do 150 a few times. Damn I need get back into the gym

I can get 315 for 3-4.

I did a 405 when I was 28, I'm 40 now.

I got up to 335. My goal for a while was "400 by 40".

I injured a shoulder and won't make it.

I hope you mean power clean.  "Powercling" sounds like something that goes on in San Fran.

I can still press 320 three reps.

Max? Don't know. I can do 225 4-5 times

Depending on how froggy I'm feeling, each week I usually work up to 385 for 1-3, followed by 365 for 2-4, 335 for 4-6 and 315 for 6-8.

Any time I try to push it up to 405 or beyond, I pay dearly for about a month.  My motor is still strong, but my chassis and transmission (shoulders, elbows, etc.) are pretty worn out.  I've had to pretty much give up on getting any stronger, and I now just try to keep the strength I have.

I agree with an earlier poster that the benchpress isn't that important.  Deadlift is my favorite lift.  It's a lot better test of a person's overall strength.  The Olympic lifts are even better, but those are the kinds of things that you have to start doing when you're young, dumb and full of come.

Back in the day I could do 325 free bar and we worked 4x4 with 250 or so. These days I might be able to go 250 once........and that might be 16oz at a time. with the amount of lifting and climbing I do at work i might be able to do my body weight but not much more.

I can curl my wife by her pants if she is laying on the floor. Even hoist her up onto my shoulder.

Always seems to get her motor running.

she says she's 125

I could probaly put up 185 today. I am at the end of a cutting phase though, so my bench should shoot back up 30-40 lbs once I am done, and on another gaining phase. I am really tall though so I wont ever have a super good bench, and I have come to except it.

These days I have no idea...I am guessing around 225-250.
Havent been inside a gym in a while....I pretty much stick to running now.

Best I ever got up was 335 (3 plates and a 10 on each side)
At that point I was doing 4-5 sets of 8 reps at 250-275....damn I miss being young and pre-employment

I still stay in decent shape, can still run about a 6:45 mile...and run several races each year.

305 x 1

or 225 x 10, 225 x 8, 225 x 6

I've worked my ass off at trying to get 315 but just can't do it.
The illusive 3 plates.

I have no idea.  I lift regularly in my garage with a MACHINE.  Not a bowflex, one of these - in fact that's my garage:

I doubt I'm setting any records.  I get it to about 12-14 plates on a good day.  I would guess that equals about 200 or 210 pounds.  If I can't do 5-8 reps it is more than I want.  I'm not trying to proive anything, just stay strong and prevent bone deterioration and arthritis.  At my age that is enough.

But, as mentioned above the real strong guy is Squatdog.  He can take a body shot from anyone.
