The majority of the people who live in MA are as messed up as he is. Otherwise, he couldn't get elected. I feel for the minority of sane folks who live in that state.

A couple of things. He's a democrat, most demos would vote for the dead jackass itself if it were on the ballot. He's still riding on his dead brothers coatails(JFK&RFK). He brings home the pork, as in groverment programs and keeps his people greased up!

The Kennedy family has been the most powerful force in New England politics for over sixty years. Joe junior would have been president had he not been killed in WW II. Because they were very popular especially in the press, and rich beyond all avarice, Old Joe was able to groom his boys to enter politics and spread enough cash around to ensure he covered up all of their flaws and missteps.

New England is rife with liberals. The Kennedys, since they have been uber rich since Old Joe made his money running booze for the mob, can afford to be liberal...with other peoples' cash. Liberalism fits well up there so the boyz have always appealled to a broad group of New England voters.

Their physical attractiveness was a help outside of the Boston area. Remember, Teddy has not always been an old fat slobbish drunk.

Then their is the Paddy vote. For the unitiated, Boston, especially Charleston has the largest number of Irish Catholics outside of County Cork. Each year, the Micks have always passed the plate in the bars and churches and donated millions of dollars to the IRA front organizations so their brethren in Northern Ireland could blow up Limeys.

This is just the way it has always been. No conservatives need apply up there...

For the record: I absolutely loath that fat bastard...but he is senator for life and we just might as well get used to it. He'd skate on just about anything...even now.

I am originally from California,but my best guess is he gets re-elected year after year based on his last name.The majority of people that I have met since I have been here are pretty much conservatives,so I really have no idea how these stupid laws get passed.I have no idea how a Republican governor was elected by the same people that voted for an alcoholic muderer.

The only liberals I have ever seen are driving Range Rovers or those Toyota hybrids,and they all seem to still be in denial with the "Kerry/Edwards" bumper sticker still on thier car.

A sitting senator with the support of his party is pretty much a sure thing even if he is a total fatass slob like teddy.Politics is a game of power and teddy has it.It is an imperfect system but his end is in sight.Mass and the dems being what they are his replacement will be just as bad.

Because he's a Kennedy. You have to wonder if the Kennedy's would be where they are today if JFK had not been assassinated and instead lived out a "normal" life and all of his shady dealings came to to be public knowledge.

I think Teddy's riding on JFK's dead coattails... and loving it.

You have to be something of a masochist to be a conservative and live in New England. I've lived here all of my life and I've been trying to convince my wife to leave for the last ten years. The taxes are out of sight and the Dems are firmly in power from town .gov to the national level with a few exceptions. Of course our governor getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar sure didn't help the Repulican party any ! LOL ! I have co-workers who live in the PRM and they just shake their heads at what goes on in Boston. Western MA may as well be another state because it's mostly conservatives.

I grew up in Massachusetts. Southeastern to be exact. White-bread suburbia. Money and liberals, lots of them. It is true, there are a lot of conservatives that live in the western part of the state, but no one lives out there, not compared to the central and eastern parts. The Kennedy family has a strong foothold in the state and most of the people would vote for any moron with the last name Kennedy. They suck that family's proverbial dick. Many people in Massachusetts are in their own little world, where the socialism of the state is the center of the country and everything they do is right. I can't stand Massachusetts.

I just heard a discussion about this on the Neal Boortz show the other day. It just shows how different people are.

Southerners and Westerners can't see how Kennedy keeps getting re-elected, and they think the people are stupid for doing it.

Northerners and Californians can't see how Jesse Helms kept getting re-elected, and they think the people are stupid for doing it.

What amazes me as a former Mass resident, is that people who live in Massachusetts have NO
IDEA how HATED Kennedy is outside of Mass.

They think everyone in the country sees him as an icon of US politics, and are proud of him.

I've been fortunate to travel alot of the country for work over the years, and the most common question
I get from people in other parts of the country is "Why do you guys keep re-electing Kennedy?"

People are very left wing in Mass. I work with people in the Defense Industry in Mass sometimes,
and they have anti-Iraq war, and anti-Bush stickers on their cars and hanging in their offices!

He's gotten away with murder for too long and he doesnt deserve the pass. If I had the money, I would produce an info-mercial and play it over and over on Mass TV.

The Kennedys. They're like freaking royalty. The father was a dick, but he never was elected. He just pushed his boys, greased their tracks, and made money. JFK was OK, RFK was not as cool. But Edward.....nobody likes him. Not even liberals.

His father basically installed him at the mininum age of 30 into the office of senator. He basically did nothing to deserve it or made any effort to get there.

The above is pretty much a true statement, However, don't lose hope! We (Virginia voters) got rid of Sen. Chuck Robb, LBJ's son-in-law, and he Demo party support. We replaced him with George Allen, whom has given us a lot of progun support!

I concur with your opinion. How in the world could electotate continually make such a poor choice to vote Senator Ted " I drowned my girlfriend" Kennedy into office is more then a mystery to me.

Every time that asshole Kennedy mentions : do the right thing, we need more information, let's tell the truth, etc I would ask him about the car drowning accident, I would ask him why it took so long to report accident, I would ask him how the F--- he forgot there was a girl in the car and all he did was swim to safety and forget about her. Here's the thing - everyone in MA over the age of 14 KNOWS he killed a girl in a stupid, mindless drunk driving accident. Most know he swam off and left her.

Second point - there is no republican party in MA. There are dregs that occasionally congregate [racists who come from money, assinine holy rollers, etc, etc, etc.] but there is no party. The last person who ran as a R against Teddy didn't have party support...then they changed their mind and claimed to back him, then changed again... it would have been funny if it weren't so visibly halfassed.

Ted ran no campaign. None.

Carla Howell just won't give up. She gets a 10 for effort, but a zero for reality check.
