We both do WWII reenacting. I doing 101st ABN and he does German. I like it and spend quite a bit of time messing with my stuff but he literately wears his German dog tags around 24/7 and the field cap. Nothing noticable to the average person unless you know him.
I asked him tonight if his wife thinks he is a freak.  He told me not anymore, she is used to it.
