I downloaded Torrent.
It's sitting there on my desktop doing fuck-all when I try to run the file. |
I'm d/l'ing it through Shareza... It says every source is "choked."
eta: I am not d/l'ing it @ a whopping 3b/s... I'll be here forever |
File sharing software. Soon to be illegal. |
tag
No it won't. Anymore than virus assembly code is illegal. |
Better link, file in .wmv:
rapidshare.de/files/3625186/Najaf_cut.wmv.html eta: This one is 6.45min long, is the torrent longer ? Cuz this one is a much smaller file size. |
so possesion of open source code will be illegal????? |

ahahahahahah that was fing funny |
So is that the vid? Pretty boring. |
Wrong sort of comparison I guess. Most server daemons share files. HTTP servers, FTP servers, Email servers, instant messageners. Bittorrent probably has the most legit use of all "peer-to-peer" software. Its going to be used commercially soon. -Foxxz |

It already is. Blizzard uses it to distribute patches for its World of Warcraft role-playing game. |
CCP uses BitTorrent to distribute the executable and patches for their PC game EVE Online. The game is not carried in stores. |

that was a cool video, to bad you cant see what there shooting at.
Keep em coming!! anyone else got vids from iraq please share em!!!
AcidGambit, you're great. Thanks.
Torrent and similar P2P designs have a long way to go... basically when service providers deliver Ethernet into homes. |
Pretty cool video.
After you watch that you'll have a clear understanding as to the requirement for this weapon system. ETA:
shows 44 seeders now... enough that nobody's connecting to me... |
I really have to show this to a buddy at work, he's always making fun of me because my mouth is usaully hanging open when I'm shooting like that, he always says I'm gonna catch flies.
I don't think he'll make fun of this guy. |
I hate to see this video make the rounds on the web. If the wrong kind of jackass over there gets it, the guys in the video might become even greater targets than they already are.
I doubt they are worried about that, but it still troubles me. |
Cool. |
This is what he told me "-its hard to see in the video but there are little specs in the road out by the wall and those are bodies"
That's what he WAS shooting at! He also said his longest confirmed kill was somewhere near 760 yards or meters, not sure which. |

Does it ask you to donate through a pop-up everytime you start it? I went to the BitTorrent site and downloaded the newest version 4.04 and it does. This video will not start downloading, I get some error message. But I went to their search page and it downloaded another Blackwater video so something else I'm doing is wrong. Are there any settings I should adjust to get the best use from this torrent program?

If you get a problem using .torrent files it's the .torrent client program and not bit torrent itself. Bit torrent is just a simple file format. Try using bit lord. That's what I use. i find torrents on www.torrentspy.com and that's where i got my latest bit lord. www.bitlord.com should be the address for bit lord. bit lord is a client program which allows you to see what files are 'stored' in a torrent file and where your downloaded files go.

Another good bittorrent client to use is Azureus

Joe, Could you ask Travis one question for me: 1) In genral, how many rounds (of the 77 gr Mk 262, I assume?) did it take before the insurgents went down. 2) How accurate was the 5.56 round at those distances? Were you able to make first shot hits? OK, OK, I lied, that;s more than one question. Thanks Joe. I really appreciate it. Regards, Justin ETA: Joe, if I install the torrent program tonight, will the download still be alive? I downloaded the condensed (17 MB, if I recall correctly) version but evreyone's been raving about the 128 MB version. |

yeah, you should be able to download it at any time. the way it works is the .torrent file is just a small tidbit of information on where to find a "tracker" for the specific files. The tracker is some long hexadecimal number or string of mumbo jumbo information that somehow knows where to find the pieces of the file or what they look like.
When you download the .torrent, your program (bit torrent, azureus, etc.) uses the tracker to find the files on other people's computers and starts downloading each of the pieces that it can find. as long as there are people sharing the files, called seeders, your computer will be able to get it. the more people with the file, the faster it's pieces can be downloaded. the nice people download the files and leave them in one place so others can get them. you can watch them if video or run them if programs, but leave them where your program knows to find them and you will be a seeder too :) helping to share the files. |
There may not be much visual excitement in the video, but to me what they were saying was much more interesting than what was being shown.

Hey, did the US Military or the CIA sneak some docs in there to dissect the Haji's to check on how the bullets performed?
