Does anyone else still use this word? I've not found anything superior for describing college professors, hippies, and anyone else who isn't an out-and-out Marxist.

I vote we Bring Back "Pinko" in 2005.

I'm not sure I see the need to differentiate between "shades" of communism. You're either a communist....or you're a capitalist. Either you believe the government has the authority to confiscate people's income and redistribute it to favored political voting blocs...or you believe in indivdual rights and private property.

With that said, there's nothing I can't stand more than someone with communist tendencies.

I agree, so I tend to use it to designate someone whose basic reaction to an incident of any kind is "There oughtta be a law..!" instead of "I'd a shot the sonuvabitch."

My personal favorite is pinko commie socialist bunghole toliet scumb liberal and I use it at every opportunity however, my wife usually throws her elbow into my rib cage as a pittance.
