You realize, that IF he says, "yes," we'd have to publicize it on the other boards. I don't think we'd have any problems getting the folks on Bower's board support it (In fact, I would like to see Tom run, too!)
We could get a heck of a lot of support for him in a hurry. Can someone PhotoShop Ed's head onto Charlton Heston's holding an AR? (Preferably the LEGP?) Good campaign poster, I think! Semper Fi! Ken Little ED: Please don't ban me if you don't like the idea! [;D] |

It's tough.
Neil Knox tried to run, but got quashed by the upper "moderate" echelon of the NRA. The first time you ran, you wouldn't win. [b]BUT[/b], if we were able to generate an appreciable number of votes, you would be listened to, thus a great voice in the NRA for AR and AK dudes. I think that is a great idea. A donation fund set up on AR15.com i'm sure would generate enough campaign $$$ for a couple advertisments in SGN propegating your platform. A good platform. YOu have enough FFL's here, and competition shooters who know you are a good man worth voting for that if AR15.com pulled toegther for you, the word could really spread. When the dudes go to Camp Perry, they put up flyers. When the dudes go to the creek, they put up flyers. Guerella advertising. Really dude. We launch a full e-mail campaign with a handful of selected AR15.com'ers to the voting members of the NRA and various FFL's.... McUZI.com could put up pics endorsing your competition in the Fat Girls forum, so nobody would vote for him. Plus, I got e-mails from some RKBA hackers when McUZI.com went live offering any assistance I needed, so I could have your competitions website hacked into little pieces, and delivered to ya in a brown paper bag. OH YEAH!!! Goatboy can do websites, so there is a [red]TON[/red] on $$$ in advertising value that you could get for free. Hmmmmmmmmm.......This could be done. All I ask is if you win, beat up LaPierre for me. Than is one [i]c_r_e_e_p_y[/i] looking SOB...Bad for gun owners to have a dude that ugly representing us. |

OK, guys:
Your nomination forms have to be in by 04AUG01, to the NRA Nominating Committe, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030-9400. The form is in your July issues of NRA magazines, e.g.: American Hunter, American Rifleman, America's 1st Freedom. Ed: We need to put YOUR address, NRA member ID#, and age on the form, along with ours. You will also have to be a fully paid Life Member of the NRA. If you are not already, I think we can all chip in a buck or two to get you there. GB: Would you please get the info from Ed, and tack it to the top? If we all go to the boards and lists we frequent with the info, I'm sure we'll have the 250 write-ins needed to nominate in no time. NOTE: We must verify that Ed is a fully-paid Life Member before sending any forms in, as any forms received prior to the member being qualified are ruled invalid. Well, here goes! Semper Fi! I will call the NRA about becoming a Life Member.I always get 5 yr memberships,which is what I have now.
