Cool. But you are gonna want to put a graphic warning in the title. Some people can't handle blood for some reason.
Plus you are gonna get slammed for the gun pic with an empty beer can next to the guns. |
Now thats what I call a classy dude! Skinning, shotguns, and your FORD Truck.
I was thinking of setting it as desktop at work. |
Sounds like you had a good time with your friends. I have to admit I'm jealous. Sweet truck by the way.
Added the warning. As for the beer can, boo freaking hoo, all guns were cleared and set on the table with the chambers open. It's a table, beer cans sometimes go there. But I understand the safety issue, nobody hunted while drinking. |
Looks like you had a blast. I've got a bud with about 5k acres past Comstock on the river. We go blue quail hunting there every Feb. Quite a few coyotes, rabbits, foxes and bobcats too. Your pics remind me of our hunts.
We don't see too many of the larger 4 legged critters out there, but there is the occasional coyote.
Those are dove. I shot 3 quails but I was too close and blew them apart so I just left them out in the brush. |

And it tasted soooo good Thanks for the compliments guys |
...and not a single evil weapon in the bunch! Not even one hi-cap 10/22. You could have at least set something on fire...
How about a 5 gallon propane tank with a road flare strapped to it, set afloat in the middle of a pond and shot from 300 yards out? |
Thanks for the good post....
two questions - what kinda truck is the red four door? and posted by someone else "no evil guns in the pix" - I do see one with a tac latch. It is a shame that our two dove hunts did not turn out like years past, the the food keeps getting better (worth the trip). Later, Badredfish |
the red one is a F150 Super crew with a 5 inch lift and 35s |
Very nice truck. I've got a 03 Escape, want to trade? |
You guys ever think about going out to the Hun Farm? No hunting though...
How many rounds did it take to get all those Dove? Those little bastards are tough to hit. Either way, you're a better wingshot than me.
Just curious, where in Texas did you go hunting? That area sorta looks like the area I live in... Ben |
we have camping trips/shoots at the Hun Farm often. Had one for New Year's too... check out the Texas Forum for info on "Hun Farm"... EricTheHun is our host. |
Damn, looks like one hell of a good time. Wish I could find some time to spend a week like that!
Hunting? Drinking? Driving Fords through mudholes? Where do I sign up? |
Sounds like a good time, i'll have to look into that
I shot about 2 boxes at birds (quails and dove) and a 3rd box on rabbits and other crap like using my shotgun to cut down fire wood.
It's 20 miles north of Brownwood. Dead center of TX. |

nothin more fun than shooting doves. Good eating too! Try wrapping the breasts in bacon and throw them on the grill. Or pluck and de-gut them and fry them up whole
We debone the breasts the fill them with cream cheese, jalapeno and wrap them in bacon then toss them on the grill. |
Damn i am frickin jealous, looks like yall had one hell of a time, need a new friend? I love that F250 FX4 Is it yours? when i get my F150 paid off that one of those is nest on my list
lol, we had 10 guys stuffed in the ranch house like sardines. And yes sir, the 250 is mine. Hopefully I'll be getting another in 08. |
Very nice....looks like good eatin.
I live in the middle of Texas too! |
I've got a 99 f350, same exact config except for the bumper. where did you get that, and how much did it set you back if you don't mind me asking.
I got both the front and rear for 450 when I bought the truck because of a commercial discount. You can find them for 600-900. |
Those are Ranch Hand bumpers, right? Do you recomend them? Any rust on 'em?
They are a different brand. But with any front end replacement you'll eventually get rust on them. Just touch them up with some paint. I love mine because I don't really have to worry about hitting gates and whatnot. |
