Yah, and he should have signed a contract with them, that lets them run around BF, but requires they let him review the use of ANY film they take, before it airs. Then they would have left, or we would have something truthful on MTV about it. |

I think you guys have every reason to be wary, but from what I've seen True Life has been a failrly balanced show...so far.
Even so, it is my understanding they will have a gangbanger, some other anti pussy, a girl who has a pistol for defense from stalker or something, and a hunter. Overrepresenting the criminal element for sure. The guys doing it posted looking for people on thehighroad.org, and I responded and met up with them since they are based in NYC, and I go to school in NYC. They are definately liberal types of guys heh, they assured me it would be balanced, but well... Anyway, I'm not dramatic or exciting enough for TV, and I told them flat out that my gun ownership has nothing to do with hunting, and that hunting has very very little to do with firearms. I guess that wasn't the angle they were looking for. The thing about True Life is that even when they try to be balanced, they still only present certain stereotypes and images that they want to. It's how they tell a "good" story. We will see how this turns out. |
