OK here goes!!!! Its the new and improved hot and spicy Spam. Cooked on the George Foreman grill. Served with white rice. Sam Adams Summer Ale to wash it down. Then later I will play with my gun and read the magazine(The Glock in the pic, get your mind out of the gutter) then I will play the game on the left side of the pic. That is my Friday night.

Beer.  The official beverage of the unemployed.

Yup, beer is official drink for the unemployed.  Hell, I did a lot of drinking when I was uneployed along time ago.  Great way to clean up the mind.

Damnit LT!!!

I thought you weren't supposed to post anymore pics of your meals![:D]

If you're unemployed, shouldn't you be drinking that generic white-label beer, with the big letters "BEER" written on the side of the can???

Hey Striker, a moderator on this forum, requested it. I am but a humble servant, so I obliged him. That and Ed Sr. just loves it when I do these kinds of posts LOL[;D] As far as the beer, I have four more left before I start drinking that stuff you mentioned. Or worse yet tap water [:(]

BTW now that I don't have a job I can start posting pics of my breakfast and lunch as well. HEHEHHEHEHEH.

I have Gunship.  I bought it because I liked the original.  The new version is not as much fun to me because of the user interface.  Too many keys to do simple tasks.  Graphics were pretty good and the game play was good but I couldn't get used to the user interface.  If you are interested in it I might be willing to part with it for the cost of shipping.

lordtrader,
If you get REALLY bored being unemployed, do the following:
1.)  Put on a pair of those plastic "Elf shoes" that can be bought at a novelty store.
2.)  Go shopping at Wal-Mart.
3.)  Load your shopping cart up with a quart of oil, a box of condoms, a bottle of wine, ten pounds of raw hamburger meat, and a set of woman's underwear.
4.)  Go to the checkout counter (Important:  try to choose an young female checkout person).
5.)  Mentally record the look on her face when you purchase the items.

The look you receive may make you feel a bit better.  At the very least, you'll laugh your ass off.

Ahh You must have one of these to play flight sim properly. That throttle control has a 2 buttons that works as rudder controls. I can control weapons selection and infra red on it. As well as switching from pilot to gunner functions. Looking around the cockpit. Etc.

You da MAN.. Now, lets see dessert!  ;-)

I have often thought about making an actual "collective" type stick that would work with the joystick while flying Heli sims. Just does not feel right trying to use a throttle or another joystick for the collective.

Nice joystick!![:D]  First we have the porn, then playing with your gun and finally playing with your joystick.[:D].  Things that make you go HMMM.

Yea I would love to get a joystick setup like that but I just had to buy a new motherboard, processor and memory for my computer.  The old one malfunctioned and released all of the magic smoke.

Aggie, It's hard to get the smoke back in once it comes out, huh?

It doesn't leave your house for a long time, though.  Nothing quite like watching all your case fans pump white smoke out of a computer case.  Funny thing was that the computer was running fine right up until I reached down to cut the power.  Oh well, that's the fun of building it yourself.

Tried it when I had the dual Suncom joystick. Kinda tiring cause there is no way to hold collective in one spot and fut with the keyboard. Maybe taking the spring off but then how would it stay without tension. This one works out great for me. Kinda sucks when your playing flight sims though cause its difficult, at least for me, to figure out when you have enough/less collective. No feel to it.

Most real aircraft use "collective friction" to hod the collective in place while flying. You can actually let go fo it for short periods of time (while flying at altitude). Its usually a ring down where the collective pivots that does some magical thing inside to increase the friction it takes to move the collective. perhaps just being able to tighten a not on the hinge would allow you to adjust the "pull" of the collective? Lets makeone and market it!  lol

Having been a Supply Officer for the Navy, I shoulda built a mini cockpit from some "spare parts". That would've been cool. Actual instruments and controls.

Got out of Active duty on 22APR01.  Now I'm a Guard bum which for the most part is being unemployed.  I feel like it's summer break again!  If I don't get a full-time guard slot I might get a second job.... someday!

You should take up my 2 activities: staring at the wall and counting stuff.  Neither one costs any money and can take up hours of your time. In your case since you still are a rich bastard, the beer would be to drink while enjoying these pastimes.
