psshaw, at that price its almost a thousand every extra C.I. (cubi inch) don't get me wrong, 351Clevelands are nice. but you can't go wrong with the 427. whats the going pirce on kidneys these days. selling not buying. |

Sounds a little high for a non origninal vehicle, that appears to have been driven some. If it were a fresh body off restorations without the motor mods it would be worth that kind of money.

For $31,000 I could get another M&R automatic press and up my production by another 1,200 units an hour.
At full production that's another $3,000 an hour in profit.

I like the big displacement engines as much as the next guy, but the relatively rare 4V version of the Cleveland 351 is a sweet engine, and this one has the ram air option - which just makes it even cooler. But all of these nicely restored old cars are awesome!! I'd take either one - but 31K is a lot of money!!! |

Low to mid twenties sounds about right to me, but I am not a Chevy guy (although if I found one like that at a really good price, I would jump at such a nice car). Of course I think cars of this era are going to continue to climb in value for a good while, there are to many baby boomers who have lots of money that know nothing about cars, who want to be the cool teenager that they couldn't be in 1967. In the eighties it was the street rods and fifties boats, you couldn't touch a rusted out 57 Chevy shell with no motor, tranny, interior or glass for less than five grand, it is the same way with the muscle cars today. Cars I could get dirt cheap in the eighties when I was a teenager sell for big bucks today. I remember when a nice 69 Cutlass with no rust or body damage running and driving could be had for a grand. |

I feel you on that, I remember when muscle cars weren't so hot, shit now you can't even find a rolling body chevelle for less than $2000. Thats robbery, for real. pisses me off that some jackass will buy it and wrap it around a tree without even thinking about it, when I could get easily 10 years of fun from that car. |

I like the muscle era cars as much as the next guy, but I have resigned my self to the fact that there are a few Mid seventies "muscle car" looking vehicles that can still be found cheap, and living in a state that doesn't give a rats ass about emmisions equipment (or even a title) for a car that old, means that I can build it however I want to build it. I have also found that a shitty Maaco paint job and two cheap chrome exhaust tips can turn a thousand dollar 75 Nova two door into a five grand classic.
