And also while we're at it, it's nice to see how many others share my "comment upon the duality of man", so to speak.  It's a strange and terrible breed, a gun lovin' Deadhead, but here we are.  It's really NOT that incongruous, if you think about it.  I hope those of you who go to Nugs enjoy your downloads!  They update once a month, always worth checkin' out.

I just HAVE to add: I just listened to the "Cornell", and it contains NONE of the famous "dropouts" during the Scarlet/Fire that the old booted tape was famous for.  Woo Hoo!

Bloody hippies! Get out of here! When are you classic rock dinosaurs gonna die already? Todays music is like totally like 1x better! Music like......umm............like.................like.........wait a minute, I'm just a little slow on the pick up.
Oh yeah OK, what about Brittany Spears!? Sure she's not an "Artist" in that she does'nt write her own music or lyrics, but hey, I'd still like to gag skull-fuck her.
I mean you old people take yourselves to seriously. With that whole "lets change the world with our music" stuff. I mean sometimes you just gotta dance to mindless music. I mean it's not that important, it's not like the world is collapsing or coming apart........................

Ahhhhhh, Phil's "earthquake" space.

The very next night in Baltimore he was quoting from "The Raven" and screaming something about nitrous and the dentist.

Ehhhh I respect them and all. But their songs are way too bland for me.

The Dead are NOT an album band.

The thing with the Dead is in the almost 300 live shows I've seen I've walked out of more than a few and thought to myself "who did I just see, that wasn't the same band I saw last night, they just sucked out loud" and on the very next night you walk out with tears in your eye because of how magical the music was.

More often than not it was magic, but some people have only seen them live on one of their off nights.

When a totally off the cuff set list of completely inprovisational songs is played by a band that is having an off night it tends to be bad, but when the band is together and grooving, playing off each other, supporting each other, giving each other a sounding board..............

You just had to be there.

I heard Bobby was sick recently.

As a side note get out and check out the Allman Bros if you can.  Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes.

I deal with that duality all the time.  My pro-gun t-shirts get funny looks at the jam band concerts.
