I'm a new member and I can't find that darn post for the colt serial numbers that I saw  yesterday.

You mean this?:
http://proofhouse.com/colt/

The numbers only go up to 1978.
If you look on R.L. Wilson's web site, you can buy a booklet with all Colt numbers up to 1985, which are the last publicly available numbers.

I don't remember but I'll ckeck it out. I bought this old AR, and I thought I would find out about when it was manufactured. Kind'a of a neat thing to know.
