Leica 1200, for sure. Good optic, good performance, small size.

bought my Leupold today, very nice combo of binoc and range finder. Went to local football field and stood on 1 yard line and ranged a pylon on the other 1 yard line. Very accurate

The Bushnell. Nikon and Leica are all good.
You may not need the most expensive Bushnell, the 800 Compact I have is fantastic. |

Well...the problem is...
Lecia, Avimo, and Leupold are not on the list list I posted  But, at least I didnt get the standard ARFCOM answer: "Get all of them"

I bought the Osprey, based on price, size, features, and the fact that I can make 4 payments (Sportsmans Guide buyers club)... I also ordered a Leatherwood Uni-Dial 8.5-25 x 50 mm Tactical scope for my PSS. Sportsmans guide did not have Lecia, or Leupold range finders...thus, they were left off my list. I will give a range report on the scope, and range finder when they arrive. |

... most mid-range priced range finders perform about the same. One aspect of their use you need to be cognizant of; they seem to go through 9V batteries fast. Make sure you take along a couple spares each trip.
