Oddly enough, I've seen more than one person do something like this and that is exactly what management did.

This guy sounds like one of those people who gets smacked upside the head again and again by the hard way and never learns a damn thing.

If you can't get him fired, get him to quit.

[Home Improvement] 240, 241, whatever it takes[/Home Improvement]

I saw a 'tech' spend a Saturday trying to get the second little cabinet of an (older, beige)AS400 started.  It was a used unit and the vendor had big blue come in and hook it up.  Couldn't  find a bad power switch.

I despise 480.  Give that stuff a lot of respect and distance.  The flash bang when it goes to ground is a Kodak moment.

Another +1 ... I once covered for a co-workers incopetence and it came back to bite us in the ass much harder than it would have hurt if I just let him show his inability the first time.

Speaking of idiots and electricity ...

... I'm thinking of getting a small welder, to teach the Mustang from Hell who is really in charge around here (or set fire to my garage trying ).  I'm looking at two different cheap flux-core models.

But one of them uses 115V 15 amp, and the other one is 115V 20amp.  Are those BOTH okay with a regular household outlet?

Make sure somebody knows about this, the fact that you are babysitting a fellow worker!  To get this far he must have some connections!  Make sure when he does FRY  the system he doesn't try to blame you!!

You might be the one that  needs a raise!!!
