As I understand it, Bush never "banned" anything to do with stem cell research, only said that federal money wouldn't be used for it.

yeah, and what I can't understand is that Kerry said he cannot force his 'beliefs' on another person per abortion pertaining to how he won't outlaw it, but then he wants to use taxpayers money to fund stemcell research no matter if said taxpayer is against it. How's that for a flip flop?
