Try the last 4 of your phone number is that doesnt work a hammer and drill will get it open
Tried your "last four"?
edited to add why would you have a lock on your circuit breaker box? That seems way dangerous! |
Try your birthday- MM/DD or DD/MM. Maybe someone in your family.
Failing that, there's always the boltcutter. http://tinyurl.com/4ydmq |

10 numerals
4 dials = 10 to the 4th power =10,000 possible combinations Put on a pot of coffee, this could be a long night |
May I ask why?
You're screwed |

Dude, you have guns. There should be no lock that you can not pick.
Or you could always just hit it with a 5lb. sledge. Try your birthday, loved one's birthdays, last 4 of your phone number and phone numbers that you use regularly. |
last 4 of
phone# SS# Address important dates (birthday, anniversary, wif/kids birthday) 6969 Any help? SRM |
both not good ideas since it is an electrical breaker box. |
That's why you use something to hold the lock out away from the box before shooting it. In the case of the sledge, you should hit from the top of the lock DOWN onto the body of the lock. No damage to the breaker box should occur as long as you know how to swing a hammer. |

Do you still have the instructions and the key you set the combination with? If so, put the key in and set a new combination.
If not, use fire to enter the box - plasma, oxy-actelyne, or even oxy-propane cutters will work. Did you write the combination down and tack it somewhere in your house, garage, shop or in your wallet? |
freeze it and then tap it with a hammer. It will fall apart. I know this works because I have seen it in the movies.
last four of ssn.
address number if it's 4 digits. Year of birth Why would you make it difficult? |
OK, now for a serious answer, because I really need some free ammo.
Try turning each knob until you feel a slight looseness in each knob. It might take some sensitivity and finesse to get it right, but be patient. When you get all four knobs feeling loose, you'll probably have the right combo. It works pretty well on some of the combo locks. If that doesn't work, I suggest trying 1-2-2-1 Good luck. |
Lets see...
10,000 combinations, approximately 5 seconds for each combination.... It'll take about 50,000 seconds to go through them all. That comes to 13.88 hours. Better get started!! |
if it's like the one I have 0000 is factory set.
otherwise i'd try 0123 SS#last 4 numbers mm dd of birthdays phone # last 4 |

Is it a detachable lock or built in?
If it's detachable, boltcutters. If it's built in, crowbar it. |
and for the non military folk thats a bolt cutter oh and +1 and IBTL |

House address?
Written on the wall in the garage? In pencil on the panel cover? Or last four of your phone number? |
Mine doesn't even have a place for a lock. What is in there someone would steal??
There are few problems in life that cannot be solved with a BFH or a Sawzall. In this case, I'd use the Sawzall first. Then the BFH. |
What he said... minus a few obvious ones like all the same numerals on all 4 dials or sequences such as 1234 |
Small-block Chevy firing order with 2 0's added. |
parents phone number
a combination of your/wife's birthday 8556 1472 year of birth wife's year of birth With there being 10000 possible combinations, any number that is of any significance to you. |
Are the hinges for the door screws or bolts that can be taken out, or drilled, if you can get to them? Maybe that would give you some more time to remember the combo, and let you get in now. Back when I was really poor, I turned my power back on that way when it got shut off at the main disconnect and padlocked one time. After I paid my bill, I just turned it back off and put the hinge bolts back in before I left for work in the morning.

I know some kids can open master com locks by using a slight pull on the lock body while turning the dial. If you are good and the lock is cheap you might try applying slight pressure on the opening handle, latch or whatever while turning the dials. You might get lucky and catch the tabs on the bar. Then again maybe not.

Try your numbers again. I have several 4 digit brass Master locks that stick occasionally. One lock changed by one digit. I don't know if it was tampered, but I put in the number I KNEW it was and hit it with a dead blow hammer. It moved the slipped digit and opened the lock. Don't spend too much time on it if you can cut the lock. Your Dremel may be your savior.......

WEEEE.... PROBABILITIES!! |

Either 0223 or 0556.

And if you use THE master key. Check out your local hardware store or locksmith they make locks that can be rekeyed to Schlage or Kwikset house keys, their pricey but worth it IMHO.
