Why do it ???
It is not like Arnold is pro peoples rights. Dumb idea IMO. |
Bab Idea, dont see a reason to change it, especially for him.........
Check the news. |
Arlon Spectre wants to change the U.S. Constitution to allow non American born citizens to be president. Basically to allow Arnold to be president. Dumb idea. This should be receiving as much attention as the AWB sunset. We should be writing and calling Washington to make sure this doesn't happen. |
I don't think we should change the constitution at all, ever.
Well, other than to reword the 2nd so it reads: The right of ordinary people to posess whatever in the fuck guns they want shall not be infringed by blissninny asshat liberals. |
thank you... Bad idea. |
We changed it twice for liquor. |
We didn't change the Constitution, we amended it; slight distinction. Wasn’t FDR President for 16 years? Amending the Constitution to allow non-US born Americans could lead to all types of problems similar to a fish and game club voting in a former member of HCI as president. |

I think it is a horrible idea
I wouldn't vote for Arnold any way. |
Let's see. A corporal in a foreign army goes to another country (once great but now secondary at best) makes a lot of noise, gets elected Chancellor, I mean President.
very, very bad idea.
btw, to hell with Arnold. IMHO he shouldn't even be a govenor |
That would be a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very bad idea.
We changed the Constitution because of one man..FDR. |
Very very bad idea I ain't worried about Arnold - I am worried about George Soreass(sic) RUNNING!!! |
I don;'t care if Ahhhnuld had the policies of George Washington. Ya don't change the Constitution for ONE man, at ONE narrow point in time. |
Sure, but it was a negative change--it set a presidential term limit so no one else could ever be dictator for life like FDR wanted to be. FDR was a scumbag, no better than Stalin, his best buddy. |
FDR was a case of changing the Constitution to LIMIT power.
NOT grant power. If we are gonan change the Constitution, I'm more likely to support the change if it SHRINKS gov't. |
It is BS to think that out of a population of 300 million, Arnold would be the best choice to be our President.
That's EXACTLY the problem. Ahhhhnuld is NOT the best choice for President. He's the best choice for the Repubs to keep control of the White House. Which is EXACTLY the mindset that created the present day Marxocratic party. Be afraid....be VERY afraid. |
Famous last words. |
B-b-b-b-b-bad. Especially bad now that we see the 50 cal. ban and know how he feels about "assault weapons".
That's a very good point. One can make a law or, in this case, a Constitutional Amendment for what appears to be a good purpose (let's just assume it for argument), and it has unintended consequences. Even if Gov. Schwarzenneger were a good person, such an amendment could open the door at another time for some very negative ones. This is not to say we don't have enough home brew nuts, but why add more? And, the foreign ones bring even more trouble to the table, trying to impose their homeland ideas with even more socialism and totalitarianism. Soros, through influence from his father brings a lot of Soviet ideas. Yes, their family originally came from Russia. |
Yes IIRC the Founding Fathers wanted to MINIMIZE the influence of "Europe" or outsiders figuring only native to citizens and NOT naturalized citizens should be allowed to run for President. |
Actually, as I understand it, the idea was raised long before Ahnuld was elected Governator.
It was raised by Democrats. You know, the group that thinks illegal aliens should have driver's licenses and the right to vote. Democrats who are now horrified by the prospect that Ahnuld might run for Pres and WIN. So the idea that the Amendment is there to benefit "one man" is a bit in error. But I think it's a bad idea anyway. Most ideas proposed by Democrats are. |
Why? He may be better then Davis, but he sure isn't all that great. We have plenty of American-born true Conservatives and half-assed RINOs to run for president. There's certainly no reason to grant the Government more power. Bad idea.
Bad precedent too - what happens when the next president is "so great, he really ought to be able to stay in the White House for more then two terms"? Maybe we should make an exception for that too? What other exceptions might we make? |
It's bad because in additional to Arnold it would let all the foreign born liberals have a chance too. Take for example Michigan's Governor, she is Canadian born, California educated, and as anti-gun as you can come.
The President used to remain in the White House for as long as he got reelected until 1951, when the 22nd Amendment was finally ratified by the necessary number of states. I would MUCH rather see that amendment repealed, and limit the terms of the Representatives and Senators. When fucking Foghorn Leghorn Byrd from West, By God, Virginia is still in the Senate, you know something is NOT working. We have a professional class of lawmakers that know the only way to stay there is to keep doling out the pork. The way to reduce the size of the fed.gov is to clean the Congress regularly. The only way left to do that is to amend the Constitution to drag them fuckers out. I'd also like to see the 17th Amendment repealed. |
terrible idea... look at European history. All the time they were getting into wars and trying to take over others countries by marrying into other royal family and usurping the throne.
We really don't need Abba al Terrorist coming over here marrying Jenna Bush and becoming President. She's too hot to be married |
But the problem is NOT just anti-gun. With ~25% (My best guess) of the states shitting on the 2nd and this *proposed* change to allow foreign naturalized citizens - FUCK, lets just throw out the Constitution!!! And then let the UK take us over so we can get back to our REAL roots! No offense mates, you understand. |
It will never get the 2/3 support needed. Too many midwesterners would believe that Kofi Annan would become the President, and that's not going to be allowed.
It has been
However I am very strongly against it. |
Damn... I hate to do this... I am going to have to agree with thelibertarian on this. FDR was a devout Stateist and created most of what "the state" that we fear is today. Traitor bastard... |

Don't change the Constitution, go see the movie.
I'll be back. |
Fuck Ahnold ! He is an assclown ! |
I don't care if Arnold would do a fantastic job in every single respect, and would go down in history as the finest president in American history...if not the best leader the world has ever seen.
He is still someone who could only hold two terms. Later generations could get screwed, in my view. |
