Our city had its annual Chili cookoff today, and the VFW's version was labeled "Uncle Ho's Napalm Chili"
It was pretty damn spicy.ht
I realy enjoy spicy food, but not as much lately as I used to.

If I'm not sweating, with a runny nose and watery eyes, then it's not really that hot.

I cannot eat spicy food - sometimes even too much pepper is a problem for me.  A jalapano would probably kill me

But I found it funny that wasabi was second from the top of your list of "hotness" because wasabi doesn't bother me.

I like it hot just before the pain sets in, and depending on what I'm eating maybe a little after. That is good enough for me. Eating to me shouldn't be painful. But if I'm gonna eat something spicey , I want a good bit of kick to it. Take care.

I used to be able to eat the insane stuff , and did every chance I got .
Now I have to limit myself to the HOT stuff or I pay the price a few hours later

I have been a lot of spicy foods lately.  My favorite is making and eating buffalo wings.  I put extra amounts of that hot Louisiana sauce.  It's a challenge to me to eat spicy foods.

With your experience, can you point us toward a couple of peppers that would have a bit of heat but show some good FLAVOR?
Sometimes the heat is so overwhelming it ruins the effect of the pepper in enhancing the flavor of the food.
I like hot, too, but I want it to be enjoyable.
Thanks for helping us out.

I love hot food and what many think is hot, I barely consider mild. I have almost never found any food too hot for me. Bring on the heat.
