I will start off with two, first I had a chance to live on campus at a big state school. But I thought nah thats too much money. Blah Blah blah, I think everyday I cursed myself for not living in the dorms. All I saw was good times. I think my first year of college would have been really really great if I would have.

Second is breaking up with a nice girl I grew up with from my neighborhood and going after some dumb stuck up slut.  Well I really burned my bridges on that one...

Should have joined the active Army right out of high school, instead of going straight to the Guard.

I try and not focus on regret or what could have been, but if I had to pick one thing it would be getting out of the Army.

For me it would be not going to UAF when my aunt offered to pay for it at 18 . I didn't want to leave Florida . Especually for Alaska . I ended up doing it anyway a few years later .

Cheating on my ex-wife. I'll always be ashamed of that, because she didn't deserve for me to be like that. I was raised better. Okay, enough about my personal life...

If your two biggest life's mistakes are not living in the dorms and breaking up with some chick, you are going to have a long life :)

Not going into the USMC out of high school with all my friends.

1985, and I still regret it.  Now I'm too old to go.

I waited until I was 26 years old to join the Marines and serve in a Reserve unit.  I was still in pretty good shape then. But alas, that was 10 years ago...

Turning down an appointment at Annapolis. By far the biggest mistake I ever made and the only one I wish I could take back, though I would also say that if I had done so I would not have met my wife and had the kids I now have. So I guess, in retrospect, that I wouldn't go back and change it now but it was kind of a dumb thing to do at the time.

Not going in the Navy (nuke program) after High School.

BUT........I do not regret anything because I would not be where I am today if I hadn't made some dumb mistakes and different life choices.

I would not be with my current wife.

I would not have my current children.

Just think of the "Butterfly Effect" and how different your life would be if just ONE incident in your life was changed.

That's the day I was first sworn into the Army, I was a High School Junior.....and talked Mom into signing.......

Mine in no particular order.......

Not going active when I graduated High School

Not staying in in 1990, and taking a drop that made me miss the Gulf War.

Not going 18B when I had the damned acceptance letter from the JFK Center-I ets'ed instead.

Letting myself get out of shape....gonna fix that one though..........

I only get to pick one?

Well...lemme see.

No, that was a bad one, but not the worst.

No, that was pretty bad, but I made worse ones.

No, can't talk about those.  At least not without a lawyer present.

I guess it would have to be not going in the Marine Corps when my buddy did and joining the Army six months later.

That's not the worst, but it'll have to do for now.

At Night Shift, a nudie bar outside of Baltimore I was forced into a JELLO WREASTLING MATCH when 20 of my fraternity brothers put up enough cash to win the the auction. I did such a good job throwing, and spinning strippers in the air without hurting them that the manager thought I was a monster and offered me a job as a bouncer.  I didnt take it because I had a crappy summer internship lined up back home at Smith Barney.

So basically, I gave up 3 months of partying, fighting, and probebly banging strippers for a 9-5 job wearing a tie, and I didnt even get paid.
