Here's the letter I wrote to the bitch right after the AWB went bye-by.

Dear Senator Feinstein,

I felt a need to write you regarding the sunset of the 1994 “Assault Weapons” ban which you have championed for so long.

Even though as a resident of California and supposedly “represented” by you in Congress I can say for certain that you come no where near representing my views or needs as a citizen of this state, or this nation for that matter.

Your blatant and reckless disregard for any semblance of truth when it comes to firearms and the law-abiding citizens that own them is nothing less than a disgrace to your office as a United States Senator.

Even though the sunsetting of the “Assault Weapons Ban” has no effect on me since I cannot legally own one as a resident of California I celebrate its passing into history. Gone, but NEVER to be forgotten by law-abiding gun owners and those that honor and respect the guarantees provided by the Constitution of the United States. Something that you seem to have no grasp of, judging by your championing of such a blatantly Unconstitutional law that restricts the clearly enumerated and easily understood Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights.

Today, in honor of the expiration of the Federal “Assault Weapons Ban”, I enrolled as a Lifetime Member of the National Rifle Association. The same NRA that has caused you and your rights-restricting colleagues so much consternation.

I should also point out that I am a member of the California Rifle and Pistol Association, The Gun Owners of California and The Gun Owners of America as well.

It shall be my distinct pleasure in a few months to leave the state of California, never to return. Yet another home-owning, taxpaying citizen of the “Golden State” that has had his fill of the restrictive, dare one say “socialist” government polices and laws that are so prevalent in this state. Polices and laws that seek to constantly increase the power and influence of the government, rather than allow the for the freedom of the Citizen.

I will most likely be moving to the state represented by one of your staunch opponents, the Honorable Larry Craig of Idaho.

In watching Senator Craig's performance during the attempt to attach an extension of the “AWB” to SB1805 I saw a man that had no problem defending his position with nothing more than the facts and conviction. Yourself and your colleagues in the form of Senators Schumer and Kennedy were disgraceful by comparison. It was a blatant and reckless attempt to pass the extension at all costs, the truth, desires of your constituents and the Constitution of the United States be damned.

It was also an EXTREMELY eye opening (and disturbing) experience seeing how the inner workings of our government function, where emotion bordering on hysteria has as much to do with the outcome as do things like facts and truth.

Since it seems impossible for those of us with more conservative values to vote you from office due to the unquestioning support of those in the Los Angeles and Bay Area, it is I that will remove myself from California and to a state whose people and government representatives more closely mirror my own values, desires and needs.

Sincerely,

<Airwolf>

And yesterday here's the reply I got back:

September 23, 2004

Mr. <Airwolf>

******, California  9xxxx

Dear Mr. <Airwolf>

Thank you for your letter regarding the recent expiration of the
Federal assault weapons ban. I welcome the opportunity to respond.

On September, 13, 2004, the Federal assault weapons ban expired.
During the ten years that the ban was in place, it reduced the proportion of
assault weapons traced to gun crimes by more than two-thirds, made it
harder for criminals and malcontents to find these guns, and - contrary to
NRA claims in 1994 - the ban did not take a single gun away from a law-
abiding citizen.  It is perhaps due to the success of the ban that law
enforcement and the American people overwhelmingly support restoration
of this important public safety law.  Almost three-fourths of the American
people, two-thirds of gun owners, and every major law enforcement
organization in the United States support renewal of the ban.

The sunset of the ban is certainly a giant step backward, but rest
assured that I will not give up.  I am already preparing to introduce
legislation next year, and this battle is far from over.  Please know that I
will never give up the fight to keep dangerous guns off our streets.

Again, thank you for writing. I hope you will continue to keep me
informed on issues of importance to you. If you have any further questions
or comments, please do not hesitate to contact my Washington, D.C. staff
at (202) 224-3841.

Sincerely yours,

Dianne Feinstein
United States Senator

In other words, I don't give a shit what you say or think and I'm not willing to even acknowledge that there might some people I'm paid to represent that disagree with me.

I"m right, you're wrong and I make myself look like a fuckwit by not even having a canned reply that remotely addresses someone that has a different opinion.  Instead you send back a document stuffed with outright lies and expect what to happen?  That I'll suddenly see things your way?  The Universe will end before that will ever happen bitch.

Reminds me of some fucking kid sticking her fingers in her ears and shouting "nah, nah, nah I can't hear you".

Cunt.

I'll be so glad to get to a state where the pols that represent me... ACTUALLY REPRESENT ME.

This woman needs to be taken out of office.

Nice letter, bad reply.  GOod luck on your move.  I agree with you that Larry Craig did a fine job representing us.

I say Craig for President 2008!

Sen. Craig would certainly get my vote.

I'm glad Fineswine gave us a heads up about her intent for next year.

Next time write her and tell her that the issue is a political loser that should be dropped for the self interest of the Democratic party.

It's amazing how little the fineswine reads.  Hate to say it, she didn't see your letter.

Im sure if evryone here started to write her office with a return address in the PRK we could get the message across and get rid of Americas cancer once a for all.

Ignoring this states problems are going to hurt all gun owners in the future.

P.S. if you guys need a zip code let me know, Ill give you a Berkley or Marin zipcode.

The letter from Fineswine looks like a standardized reply that could equally well be sent to a supporter or opponent of the AWB. Typical.

You know, I don't think it would matter to her at all. You could have a knife to her throat, tell her that you were going to cut her head off if she didn't leave the gun issue alone and she'd still go after your guns. She's so blinded that disarming you is all she can see. I bet she thinks about how to get a gun ban passed every day. I bet it consumes her.

There are those, and we all know who they are, that want to disarm American and they won't stop until they are dead and gone.

That was a form letter. You can bet DiFi is well insulated from any dissenting opinions. I'm sure her staff screens all e-mails and makes sure she only sees the documents supporting her position.

Not that it applies to this, but just curious.

How does one get a senator out of office? Other than not voting for them at re-election that is.

I mean we have impeachment for presidents. What about congressmen and senators? Is there a procedure for that as well?

Do some leg work like a reporter, find some dirt and I mean real dirt on Fineswine and expose it. Just with the govenor of NJ. That'll get her out of office.

Airwolf... what kind of reply were you expecting.

All these politicians have pre-written responses to every issue out there that their staff offices send out in response to letters sent into them. You don't really think that the bitch herself wrote that or that response was written in particular to respond to your letter do you.

They never had any intension of addressing your concerns and valid points. This bitch has made her living fucking people like us over.... and she wasn't going to try to justify herself to us.... she wasn't going to waste the time.... she's too busy spreading propaganda and lies to worry about our rights and values.

P.S. Moving out of CA was the best thing I ever did. Move to Arizona.... the chicks are hot and the gun laws are awesome.

Well, it is a "new" letter. Her last one(s) all ended with "...we'll have to agree to disagree..."
stupid broad.

NO we won't. I will not sit idly by while some elitist cunt fights tooth and nail to strip me of my GOD given rights.

I thought, as Lon_Moer said, that there would be a form letter for those who disagreed with the cunt.  Just pissed me off that there was NO acknowledgement of my views.

It just shows what a "let's pretend" planet the bitch lives in.  "I"m right and I won't even bother to give you the slightest satisfaction by even confirming that I heard your dissenting position."

I've gotten it about 5 times.  Standard reply.  Interesting that so far she doesn't seem to be hitching her wagon to Kerry's star.  She's a ton better on Iraq than "Mr. Floppy" and it's because she's an Israel supporter.

I've also gotten her standard 2nd Amendment answer probably written by the ACLU.

She symbolizes everything wrong with our representation today.

On a semi-related subject, I read that she carries a .38 herself.

While that would be near the top of any hypocrisy list, she may need it more than most.

Notice closely how she refers to "criminals and malcontents" getting access to these horrible weapons.

So, criminals aren't a complete basis to withhold these firearms from citizens, but she has to include "malcontents".  A malcontent is someone presumably less than a criminal, but nonetheless an otherwise innocent person behaving in a manner that she believes is incompatible with gun ownership.

Wanna take a guess how she and her ilk view "malcontents"?  Let me give you the Oxford English Dictionary's definition:

"Chiefly of a person: discontented, dissatisfied; (now) esp. actively discontented; unwilling to acquiesce in the established ideas or practices of an institution, society, etc.; inclined to resistance or rebellion; restless and disaffected."

Basically most of us gun nuts on these boards who disagree with her "established ideas".  Talk about a shot over the bow.  Making the argument to her about legal citizens being able to legally own guns goes in one ear and out the other, because she firmly believes that there are just some people in this world who should not be gun owners.  No doubt, she and her cohorts would like sole discretion on making such determinations.

Mark my words, you will see this come up in future legislative efforts from her.  Stand your guard.
