Us night people kick ass. Wait, I'm also a day people too. Hmmmm. Come to think of it, I rarely sleep at all. I'm even logged in when I'm working. But I do feel I think better at night! So yeah, I pledge my allegiance to the night. I suppose had we been in Asia many years ago, we would have been ninjas!

I usually see a lot less hostility on the night shift. Insomniacs just want to get along. Sorta' commiserate I guess. Either that or the majority of assholes have day jobs.
Regardless, it's a lot easier having meaningful dialog without all the chest thumpers. So perhaps the quality of topics is the same but the company is better.

The nice part about being Night Shift is an extra $1.00 per hour more than the Day Shift.
Getting enough sleep on days I have to work is Nasty. But as I can make assorted Doctors appointments (like the one I had at the dentist last week) almost at any time, it is hard to beat for convenience. Like for instance, Rush Hour. When traffic is backed up for miles and miles with people coming In to work, I’m headed the opposite way and home. |
