Go Israel. They rock. I have a good buddy who spent a year in the IDF Infantry over there, and they are doing some good stuff. Anyone killing dirty Arab terrorists is good in my book.
Besides, that is their homeland and they are willing to fight for it. |

Heck I seen the Documentory on the USS Liberty . Heck who knows what happened... The US Military was as much to blame in my OPINION as anyone. The ship shouldn't been in a War Zone area with out an escort. IMO. Im pro America, and pro US Military, so lets get that straight. Why did the Commander turn the jets around that was coming to it's aid?????? There was and is things that went on that we will never know.
But for the record, how many here have Japanese cars and equipment , Chinese manufatored stuff in there home, or German cars . We all fall into one or many of that catagory. We was at War with each of these countrys..... Where's the out cry...... Im Pro Israel . WD |

Yes, I beleive Israel is. Seriously, Israel presents TWO problems for me - 1. How OUR gov't subjects itself to Israels needs, and send US tax dollars there (I also have a problem with sending US tax dollars to Zimbabwe and Hunary and India and...you get the idea) ' 2. The present gov't in Israel is socialist and I beleive does great injustice to the Israeli people. But you KNEW this Just figgered I'd assure you I haven't "gone soft" yet. |

Galatians 3 makes it VERY plain that the "thee" spoken of in Gen 12 was Abraham, and TODAY that promise translates to jesus Christ. Thru Jesus Christ ALL MEN now receive the blessings of that promise. Ya see where it says "all nations"?????? The blessings of THAT promise were NEVER material, but always spiritual. The recipeints of that promise were NEVER defined by DNA but by the mercy of God accomplised by Christ Jesus. |

Many nations that have attmepted to annihialte other Gentile nations ended in ruin. Correlation DOES NOT imply causality. Especially when you consider Germany is alive and well. A study of the Disapora will reveal VAST intermarriage and "pollution" of the Jewish bloodline - purity of which was Biblically required. Egypt, no longer under Pharonic rule - had enslaved the Jews Babylon, Where is that again? The Philistines? Well, still around, but not a nation. Persia??? Where are the cannanites? The remnants and decendants of those once great empires and a few others have been throwing their combined might against tiny little Israel for the last half century and seem to loose at every outing despite their overwhelming numerical superiority. Could it be the hand of God favoring the army of light? Rome, its last vestige survived only by accepting a Jew as their Lord and Savior. This actually gaurenteed Jewish victory in the west as Christianity is a Jewish sect and faith. Germany, The Nazis who oppressed the jews are no more and their nation cowers before the world. The Soviet Union, and Imperial Russia? What Soviet union and what empire. The mighty spanish empire? What do they control again? Note how they react to one small attack, they run. Now on the flip side. Even after near devastation for their transgressions, Japan survives with the son of Hirohito upon the crysanthimum throne. The Japanese also protected all of the Jews under their domain and in fact rejected nazi attempts to destroy the european Jews living in Imperial Japanese controlled areas. Britain thrives as well as the US, they have both embraced their Jewish communities. Correlation, causation. What has that to do with Gods will and faith? Israel survives and thrives despite all the evil thrown at it precisely because it is Gods will that it be so. The odds are far too stacked against them to be otherwise. |

Survive in name only Rome- When you prayed to Zeuss this morning were your prayers answered? Did you pay your tribute this morning? Did anyone outside of Italy? The only tribute Rome now sees is in the collection plate and that is to an organization founded by a Jewish sect. So yes, Rome survives through the benevolence of Jewish teachings and tradition. Russia? Yes Russia survives, but they mearly oppressed the Jews, they didn't seek to whipe them out. Where is the Czar? What does he rule over? What do the communist Soviets rule now? Germany thrives, but where are the Nazi rulers? Do they also thrive? Are those who perpetrated that evil not still hunted to the ends of the earth even in their 80s? America anti semitic? Maybe individuals, but then again, here an 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st century Jew can get off the boat, freely walk to a house of worship, start a business, or work hard, get an education both secular and religious, and thrive and become wealthy, hold public office, and even own firearms openly, without being thrown in jail, killed, or run out of the country. Of course it is. America welcomes and supports the descendants of ancient Israel and in turn thrives and has grown to be the greatest nation state the world has ever known. If one believes in judeo christan traditions then it is clear that the two are intertwined. Ever notice how about half of Israel's population are Americans?

Not exactly true. Are you saying that Jews can gain salvation outside of faith in Christ? That's contrary to most traditional Christian doctrine and Christ's own teachings (John 14:6). Also, to say Christianity is a sect of Judiaism is EXTREMELY disingenuous. Modern Judiaism is primarily a Talmudic faith. The New Testament in its entireity pre-dates the Talmud. (The source of the Talmud is not Palestine but Babylonia, but that's another story). The content of the Talmud itself rejects the supposition that Christianity is a Jewish sect, since it upholds the Rabinical condemnation of Jesus for blasphemy at the hands of the Sanhedrin. The Talmud is, to say the least, unkind in its treatment of Jesus. St. Augstine himself warned against devotion to what he called "carnal Israel". Probably won't go over well on this site, but the word of Jesus in the Gospels (John 14:6 and Matthew 28:18-20 in particular), in addition to the teachings of St. Paul, St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas are pretty clear on this matter. |

Jews do not need to " gain " salvation. They are born to it by God's covenant with Abraham. They do however need to conform to God's law to avoid a period of limbo. Now, as to Christianities origins. Jesus was a Jew. In fact a devout Jew. religious/political power notwithstanding, he founded a Jewish sect, which his followers later continued and once romanized became catholicism. the various intrigues, acceptance and rejections of writings as worthy for the new bible from that point forward was a matter of politics. Now as to talmudic scholars? Just because they reject christianity as a sect of Judaism does not make it true. |
