Joe and I went to the site today to prep for the 2005 Boomershoot. I spent some time sorting stakes, burning the rejects for reuse. While sorting the stakes, I found two neat ones. This one:

shows the rifling of the bullet as it passed by (click for larger version). This one:

shows why you should not bring a 223 to the Boomershoot and engage long-range targets. I pulled the bullet out; it was an FMJ round. Folks, varmint bullets please, and please no 223's past 380 yards.

After the sorting, I threw the rejects on the pile:

No reason for this picture, other than I like fire.

We also sorted out tons of crap and burned it, but no pictures. Sorry.
