The reason I heard for it was for personal protection people who a)needed a very concealable weapon b)might need to lay down a whole lot of fire Still things a MP5K or Steyr TMP would do, and better |

I've shot a Glock 18. They are worthless as a defensive handgun but fun.

G18 video of the guy in the flannel shirt has been around for a loooong time- nice to see it again though. As far as the exploding melon video- cool, but just about any of the larger pistol calibers do that to a melon, corbon or not. I am still looking for the videos of exploding frozen milk jugs.

uh oh....you posted a link to a video where illegal activities are going on. Tisk, tisk. I got my
thread locked a couple days ago for putting up a link to a site where a guy hunts deer with a cannon. I think some of the mods are getting a little trigger happy with the locked button.

I have actually fired a Glock 18, which is kind of funny since MI is not NFA friendly. I was out shooting my M1 at the local range, when some police officers showed up. One of them starts buzzing away with a G18. So I am watching of course, and he invites me to shoot it. I couldn't believe how lucky I was.
I got to fire 2 33 round magazines worth of 9mm through it, and man what a blast that was. If only cost be 16 rounds of 30.06 LC ammo, the cop wanted to shoot my M1. |

If seen it argued for using the 18 as an entry team weapon, specifically, the point man.
Other than that, no uses that I can imagine. But it sure would be fun to shoot! |

Glock 18's are fun! My SOT has one and I've put a couple of mags though it. It is totally useless, but cool! My MP5K-PDW is a much better weapon but there is just something nifty about a full-auto pistol....
