Im trying to buy a skydiving Altimiter.  But some jack-@ss outbid me by twenty three cents!  Thats right $.23.  I would have gone higher but my DSL was down due to a thunderstorm.   Seems like the only way to win an auction on eBay is to put your bid in at the last second.

It's called "Sniping" and is the only way to bid.

They cancelled my auction for a vinyl cleaning kit pouch for an AR 15. Because it was an "Assualt rifle part".  Also for a flip up front site, even thought the auction ended 1 week ago!
The biggie was cancelling my auction for a bayonet.  There might be 1000 of them for sale on ebay but mine was for an M4.  The auction ended in a "no sale" but 1 week later they refunded the fees and are reviewing my account for possible suspension!

It is funny that they do not want you to sell gun parts, but there is shure a lot of porn for sale on e-bay.  shure you can have your knifes and porn - all you want, but you can not have them hight capasity bullet holder thingamgiggys.

Get a grip e-bay and pay pal for that matter.

Is gun broker a company of e-bay?  they shure do work a lot alike.

If you don't do a lot of buying, www.bidtamer.com gives you 3 free snipes a week (or maybe it's a month, I don't remember.)

YOU ought to be the one reviewing your account. When you get done reviewing it, suspend yourself. Why are you putting money in the fucktards pockets?

I use Auctionsniper.com

You get some freebe's each week.  I've never paid for it.

At home I use a commerical snipe program.  It sync's with the auction and plugs the bid in at 2 seconds till end.

If you get sniped on Ebay it shouldn't matter. It should mean that someone bid more than you were willing to pay, just like any other auction. If you bid the full amount you are willing to pay up front, the only way you lose is if someone wants to pay more. If it is a rare or hard to find item, then bid high. I do this & I see snipers trying to beat my high bid by bidding the next minimum amount but my bid is usually enough to stay ahead of them until the auction ends. That will drive snipers crazy, because they bid like most people do on online auctions, & that is to enter a bid only high enough to beat the high bid that is showing currently.

I use .99 when I bid. I don't make it a habit of sniping since most of the items have already gone beyond what I can get them elsewhere. Its amazing what people will pay for used stuff that they pay more than new prices for.

you could bid as high as you want to go and when the guy goes to "snipe" he will run out of time.

Yup...put in your proxy bid early...the absolute max you'll pay, and stick to it...if your max is $100, and you get outbid by someone who bids 100.01, oh, well...that's the way it goes...

Ebay has minimum bid increments depending on the current price. I think that at $100 the next bid must be at least $10 higher. So you will not lose a $100 item for only$.01.
