Looks like I might just get my wish from yesterday then.
I asked for IL and they are FAR less blue than yesterday.
Nice development.

Anyone else happen to notice that he's even slipping a bit in CA?
If the demoncraps can't even carry Kalistan then they've got MAJOR problems.

The part I love is Illinois...Barely Kerry!  I wonder if Don King's campaigning and radio messages are having an effect on the west and south sides?

Wow..it might be a landslide after all.

KEEP THE PRESSURE ON!

I have predicted a Bush landslide for a long time now...Bush will likely get at least 300 Electoral Votes...

Hopefully nobody gets lulled into a false sense of security. We all need to actually vote in November to make these predictions come true.

ETA - Conclusion: Kerry is slipping is some states where he was way ahead, but is making a comeback in the real battleground states.

bush is 4 points up in nj per survey usa.

Minnesota should be barely bush - they appear to be using a minneapolis red star tribune poll numbers, which skew heavily against republicans. Newer, better polls show bush up by 2 in minnesota.

Hehehe.  I'm waiting to hear news reports of dem disillusionment in mid november.

I don't know much about Minnesota, but I always thought it was a pretty conservative place.  The solid blue kindof suprises me.

As I looked at this site I decided to refresh myself on the electoral college and came across this.  They are explaining why it's difficult to change the system to a popular vote.

"The fact that nearly all the low-population states are heavily Republican adds to the difficulties of changing the system. Direct election of the president would eliminate the current bias in favor of the Republicans."

Not all of Cali are for the Demos.

This is a map of the 2002 Gov. election. The problem is that the Bay Area and LA have the #'s to drag the rest of the state around by the nose.

Minnesota's the land of Humphrey, Mondale, and Wellstone. But there is hope for the state. Most of the counties in the state went for Bush in 2000, Gore took the highly populated Metro area, the iron range, and a couple of other outstate counties. I think my county was approximately 70% Bush last election, my precinct was about 90% Bush.

That's exactly the reason why the Electoral College is in place.  It keeps a few large population centers from deciding how the rest of the country should be governed.  Take the examples of California into account.  The sheer numbers of liberals on the coast overwhelm the rest of the states.  If you went strictly by counties, California is a conservative state.

Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas...

actually thats really only part of the reason.  mostly the purpose of the electoral college was to protect the country from direct democracy.  Just in case the people really lost their heads and overwhelmingly supported a charismatic dictator, the state legislators could send electors with a little bit of wisdom to make sure a tyrant never got elected.

btw, that electoral-college.com site is pretty biased.  tack on about 2-3 more percentage points to bush to whatever that guy says.

MAINE is TIED??? I thought maine was just Massachusetts North...

There are 50 states. DC needs to be dropped from the POTUS election, it is not a part of the United States. If the people living there don't like not being able to vote, they can move to an actual state. If Puerto Rico, Guam, and USVI can't vote for the Pres, then why can DC?

Re: Nader...

He's getting a swell in votes as the "anybody but bush" crowd realizes Kerry will likely lose.

As that happens, they decide not to vote their fears (a Kerry vote), but to vote their twisted warped communist shit twinkletoed cocksuking marxist inspired liberal dreams (i.e., Nader).

Its the same thing that's happening in Texas:  Bush has it so wrapped up that a LOT of gun owner types are going to vote for Bardanick
