They had a segment on the AWB going out just now... and then they had a "Point/counterpoint" with the LA Chief of Police (vehemently anti gun) and a lady from the NRA (I believe Teddy Koppel called her the first vice president or something)
I doubt I'll sleep much tonight, because I'll be mentally telling the chief to STFU and tell the truth... I don't know the real stat but he said that between 29 and 30 thousand people were going to die in the US alone this year...

Bratton came within a hair of calling American gun-owners "enemies of the state." They were talking about the amount of guns in America and he said GWB was president and took an oath to protect the country from "...action, foreign and domestic." He bit his lip as he said "action," knowing he better not use the word "enemies."

And to add to your upset keep in mind that the LAPD doesn't have a dog in this fight. The PRK has an AWB FAR more restrictive than the Federal ban. Nothing that happens on September 13 means JACK SHIT in this state but yet the loudest protetests about the ban ending seem to be coming from here.
 Bratton needs to be told to STFU and worry about his own issues and keep his fucking nose out of things that don't concern him.
