Apparently, going after the gun vote, someone gave Kerry a shotgun, which he proceeded to wave around joking" Unfortunately, I can't take it to the debate."

Suddenly its FUNNY when Dems talk about using guns to threaten / coerce / terrorize people.

But Rush was saying this particular shotgun was

1. A gun that would have been outlawed in some legislation Kerry had sposored.

2. Illegal to receive as a gift in that same legislation had it been enacted.

Anyone hear this / can verify?

Well gift or not I hope that that gun gets sent to an FFL in Mass and is properly transfered to him otherwise he better get his ass locked up for breaking GUN laws.

Read the article, Kerry's failed legislation would have banned semi-auto shotguns with pistol grips, no other qualifier. The shotgun he held would be illegal if the legislation passed.

The legislation referred to in the link is the re-authorization of the AWB. IMO I still do not think the shape of this stock (see vertical picture on link) would qualify as a pistol grip as defined by the AWB.

"A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon"
