Another vote for George Allen. He was an excellent governor, fisically conservative and pro-RKBA. However, he is not very well known nationally yet.

I'm bet Colorado governor Bill Ownes will run in 2008. He said a couple weeks ago on TV that he had no intentions of doing so, but I'm thinking we'll see it. I don't know a ton about the man's politics, but CO is a legal CCW state and we have no state issued AWB.

Retired Marine General Zinni seems to be posturing to get in the public eye. The interviews I've seen of him he seems very level-headed. Of course, I don't know a lot about him.
