Talk about an interesting experience! I've read about Jews for Jesus, et al, but I've never met a Jew who has accepted Yeshua (Jesus) as the messiah.
Apparently, the Messianic Jews believe that the Old Testament laws will be restored under the Messiah Jesus when he returns.
I was invited to her synagogue for shabbat and to meet her rabbi, and I think I am going to go visit. Apparently it's a pretty large temple with over 1500 people in regular attendance. I've been to an orthodox temple before for shabbat and a wedding. I asked her if goyim were invited to their temple and she emphatically said indeed!
I have to admire the courage of these people who follow their convictions, knowing what it means if they turn their back on their Orthodox upbringing. It's akin to announcing that they are gay. The lady I met was osteracized by her family. Sad.
